Primary News
This week in Johnson, children returned to their regular routines and resumed their learning journeys. We reviewed how well they remember their letter sounds from before the winter break. Thank you to the families who helped their children practice letter sounds during the break.
In the second half of the academic year, children will focus more on math and writing at their individual levels. The younger students have started writing and reading numbers, while the older ones are engaged in skip counting through chain activities.
Next week will be exciting as we learn about the Lunar New Year. We have a variety of Lunar New Year-related activities planned!
This week in Einstein, we began our students’ engagement activities after the winter break, and it has been a joy to see their excitement and enthusiasm. The children were eager to share the research they conducted with you, their parents, and it was evident how much they enjoyed the process. I hope you all cherished this opportunity to spend quality time together while fostering their curiosity and learning.
In our lessons this week, we explored how animals survive winter—whether by hibernating, migrating, or adapting—through picture cards, books, and their research. The children’s curiosity about different animals was inspiring and led to lively discussions in class.
We also conducted a science experiment on crystallization. The children loved observing the process and were amazed when the crystals formed. It was a wonderful opportunity to spark their interest in science.
One of the most heartwarming outcomes this week has been seeing the children gain confidence and begin speaking in front of their peers with ease. Their growth is a testament to their hard work and your support at home.
Thank you for being an integral part of your child’s learning journey.
This week in Picasso, the children engaged in a variety of enriching activities and lessons that supported their development and curiosity. They explored new dressing frames, practicing how to use snap buttons, large buttons, and zippers, which helped build their fine motor skills and independence. In our sensorial work, the children learned how to strike a bell, refining their auditory discrimination and enjoying the beauty of sound.
In mathematics, we introduced the golden bead nine layout, providing a hands-on approach to understanding place value. The children also practiced identifying odd and even numbers up to ten, laying a strong foundation for future mathematical concepts. Our cultural studies included labeling body parts, which sparked curiosity and gave the children a better understanding of anatomy.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, we had a thoughtful discussion about his life and legacy. The children learned about the peaceful changes he brought to our country and reflected on the values of kindness, fairness, and standing up for what is right in a peaceful way.
It has been a wonderful week in Picasso, filled with discovery, learning, and meaningful conversations. We look forward to continuing this journey together next week as we learn about Lunar New Year!
Toddler News
Our toddlers were excited to return after the snow days, diving back into their routines with curiosity and joy! This week, they explored sensory materials, practiced practical life skills, and enjoyed songs and stories during circle time.
We’re so proud of their enthusiasm and look forward to more exciting learning adventures ahead!

Nido News
This week in the Nido community, we’ve been busy practicing new skills and exploring movement! We’ve been stacking blocks, putting rings on a dowel, and really getting into the groove of walking. Some of our little ones are enjoying tummy time, pushing up, and even working toward standing. It’s been so exciting to see each child grow and build their confidence in their own unique way!
