On September 3, 2024, it was an exciting day on the HF campus as Superintendent Dr. Scott Wakeley welcomed University of Illinois President Timothy Killeen, Chancellor Robert Jones (Urbana-Champaign), Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Effectiveness Nikos Varelas (Chicago) and Chancellor Janet Gooch (Springfield) and 25 other university officials for the kick-off of the University of Illinois System Leadership State Tour. HF was the first stop as U of I System leaders traveled the state to connect with communities.
