What's Up Weekly!

Thank you Captain Jack for your presence on our campus. We appreciate you visiting and reading to our students!

#SuperHero #thePowerofOne

Our bookfair will be from Monday, September 30 through Wednesday October 11th.

Please come by or send money with your child to support Reading and our campus.

The proceeds from the bookfair this year will be used for more flexible seating for students in the library, and Maker-spaces. Thank you for your support!

In Character Education we continue to work on being "bucket fillers" and not "bucket dippers". In being a "bucket filler", students practice kindness and support of each other so that everyone has a bucket full of good feelings. We want to lift each other up and not drag each other down. We are also working on other positive behaviors and friendly practices. This week we have learned about appropriate greetings which include a firm handshake, a friendly smile, and good eye contact. Have you filled a bucket today??!!

Ms. Berger amazes me daily with how uplifting her actions are.

Braveheart Award for this week goes to..... Ms. Diane Berger

Ms. Berger's passion to make a positive impact in the lives of others truly shows. She is doing character lessons in the library with our students which has been a great addition during specials time. She makes every effort for our students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally at Giddings Intermediate School. She has been a ray of sunshine, felt as she has so warmly added great value to our school.

Bravely leading students to see their WONDER.

Thank you Ms. Berger - we appreciate you! (Counselor)
