CVUSD recognizes that no one deserves to be bullied and all students deserve to be safe in school, online, and in the community. This October, as part of National Bullying Prevention Month, and all year through, the District encourages parents, students, and staff to unite against bullying.
During the month of October, communities across the nation campaign to raise awareness and educate people on the long term effects that bullying has on children. National Bullying Prevention Month is a campaign in the United States founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center.
The goal of recognizing National Bullying Prevention Month in the CVUSD is to encourage parents, students, and staff to unite against bullying and share the message that no one deserves to be bullied.
The District encourages students, staff, and parents to “Take the Pledge” against bullying by supporting others who have been hurt or harmed, treating others with kindness, being more accepting of people’s differences, and helping to include those who are left out. Click here to learn more.
The District believes that all students should be able to embrace who they are and attend school in a safe and inclusive environment, free from discrimination. Click here to learn more.

Ms. Sosa represents professional excellence at Aspen, where she designs instruction to be rooted in strong pedagogy and an unwavering commitment to equitable access. She scaffolds complex content, to ensure it is accessible to all learners. This supports the success and growth of all students.
At the September Aspen Elementary School staff meeting, Ms. Sosa was surprised with the September 2026 Teacher of the Month recognition. She was presented with a plaque from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce to commemorate this special recognition, along with a $300 teacher grant from the Conejo Schools Foundation, and received congratulatory wishes from CVUSD’s leadership team and members of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee.
Congratulations Ms. Sosa on this well-deserved honor, and thank you for making a positive impact in the lives of our Roadrunner students and Aspen community each and every day! Click here to read more about Ms. Sosa and this special recognition.
