CMAS is Here!
Dear Families,
As we approach the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) testing window, I want to take a moment to share how proud we are of our students and the incredible growth they’ve shown this year. CMAS is one important opportunity for our learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they’ve gained—and we know they’re ready to rise to the challenge!
These assessments not only help us understand each student’s progress but also guide us in refining instruction and improving outcomes across our school. While CMAS is just one snapshot of learning, we believe in the importance of showing what we know, and we’re excited to support our students in doing their best.
🌟 How We Can All Support Student Success
Here are a few key ways we can work together to help our students succeed:
🛏️ 1. Prioritize Rest
A good night’s sleep is essential. Help your child get at least 8–10 hours of rest before each test day so they feel alert and focused.
🍎 2. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Whether at home or at school, a nutritious breakfast fuels the brain. Make sure students eat something with protein, fiber, and healthy carbs to keep energy steady.
⏰ 3. Arrive On Time
Being present and on time helps students start the day calm and ready. Please avoid scheduling appointments or trips during the testing window if possible.
💬 4. Offer Encouragement
Remind students that effort matters. Celebrate their hard work and reassure them that it's okay to feel a little nervous—they are ready and capable!
📚 5. Review Key Strategies
Encourage your child to:
-
Read each question carefully
-
Eliminate wrong answers before choosing
-
Use scratch paper for math problems
-
Double-check their answers if time allows
Thank You for Your Partnership
We are so grateful for the role you play in your child’s education. With your continued support, we know our students will show what they’ve learned and make our school community proud.
Let’s make this CMAS season a celebration of growth and achievement!
With gratitude and excitement,

Queridas familias,
⏰ 3. Llegar a tiempo
📚 5. Revisar estrategias
Anímelos a:
-
Leer bien cada pregunta
-
Eliminar opciones incorrectas
-
Usar papel para cálculos en matemáticas
-
Fay Airomlo

Important Safety Update
Dear WAIS Families,
As we continue to prioritize the safety of all children and adults on our campus, we are making an important update to our drop-off procedures at the North Gate, the parking space between WAIS and the Fitness Center.
Please note that the North Gate is now a "No Hug and Drop" zone. For the safety of our students and adults, all cars must park in a designated parking space, and families must walk their child to the gate. This helps us avoid traffic congestion, ensures clear visibility, and supports a safe and calm arrival process for everyone.
If you prefer to drop off your child without getting out of the car, please use the bus lane, where staff will assist students in exiting vehicles safely.
We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep our school community safe and organized each day.
Warm regards,
Fay Airomlo

Fay Airomlo
