“Touch the hearts of your students, and everything else will follow.”

-St. John Baptist de La Salle (patron saint of teachers)

Dear Saint Ambrose Parents,

It was a great Catholic Schools Week! We are blessed with a wonderful community, and celebrated well.

Thank you to our 8th grade families for providing a delicious lunch for us on Wednesday. We enjoyed it thoroughly. Also, thanks to all who donated for St. Jerome's and Community of Saints. Both of these schools have seen an increased need from families, and are incredibly grateful for all of our support. As we turn the calendar to February, Friday, February 6 is a Swarm Shirt first Friday.

February brings another celebration, "I Love to Read" Month. Check out the details below.

As we celebrate I Love to Read Month, we are excited to invite our students to “Pop Into a Good Book!” To make this celebration extra special and memorable, we hope to provide popcorn for our students as a fun way to encourage reading and build excitement about books. Each class would select a time to enjoy the snack together during February. If you are able to support this celebration by donating popcorn we would be so grateful. Sign up here!

February is Heart Month, a special time to celebrate heart warriors, remember heart angels, and raise awareness about heart health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and congenital heart disease affects 1 in 100 babies, making it the most common birth defect. To help show our support and raise awareness, we will be wearing red on February 12th. Bring $1 to school that day to participate. All money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association to help support research, education, and care for people with heart disease.

Thank you for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a difference and help save lives.

Items will be delivered to the school 2-3 weeks after the store closes. You can place your orders here: Spirit Wear Order Site

Lord, make me a channel of thy peace,
that where there is hatred, I may bring love;
that where there is wrong,
I may bring the spirit of forgiveness;
that where there is discord, I may bring harmony;
that where there is error, I may bring truth;
that where there is doubt, I may bring faith;
that where there is despair, I may bring hope;
that where there are shadows, I may bring light;
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to
comfort than to be comforted;
to understand, than to be understood;
to love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life.
