A note from Principal Ballard
Dear Families,
As we move into another exciting week, I want to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments of our school community and share what’s ahead. Students have completed beginning of the year testing. Families (first and second grade) have also recieved letters sharing information of students progress on the diagnostic iReady and also student placement in tiers.
⭐ What Is Tiered Instruction?⭐
Tiered instruction is a teaching method that helps all students learn in the way that works best for them. It means the teacher gives different groups of students slightly different assignments or activities based on their current skill level, learning style, or needs — but everyone is working toward the same goal. Think of it like everyone climbing the same mountain, but some kids need a different path or special tools to get there.
Our teachers and staff continue to go above and beyond to provide engaging, meaningful learning experiences. Whether in the classroom or on the playground, their commitment to excellence creates an environment where every student can thrive.
Looking ahead, we have several important events on the calendar, including: Sept 21st -Spirit Night at A Lot O' Gelato, Oct 2nd- fall pictures, Oct 13th-end of the first nine weeks, and Oct 17th nine weeks reward of a Glow Party.
I encourage you to stay connected through our newsletter, website, and Seesaw to keep up with all the latest happenings. Together, we are building a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Thank you for being a vital part of our school family.

Good Choices = Join in on the 9 weeks Reward
Our First Nine Weeks Reward is a Glow Party - Oct 17th
🎉As students continue to grow and learn, we use nine weeks incentives to encourage great choices. The first nine weeks reward is a glow party. Students that make good choices, receive "Owl Bucks" and will also have a chance to participate in the glow party. Last year our students had a blast. We hope that families can encourage great choices at home and at school, so students may enjoy these nine weeks rewards.🎉
We will not permit students with challenging behaviors to attend.
🚨Struggling students will participate in reteach; staff will reteach the expectations.🚨

Attendance Matters
Check the back of your child's folder, or pocket, when he/she is absent to update the Attendance Tracker. Please aim to send your child to school each day. If your child is not sick, please send them to school.
Regular school attendance matters, but if your student misses school, you can submit your student's absence online using the Parent Absence Note Form
WALKERS
We understand that older siblings may need to walk our kiddos home. Please be sure your child's teacher is aware of this arrangement. We have a new form to be completed by parents/guardians of students that are walked home by siblings that are under 18 years of age. Once the teacher is made aware, we will send home the form.
