18 CPS Students to Walk onto the Field at the World Cup
Chelsea Public Schools is also pleased to share that 18 CPS students will be walking onto the field at Gillette Stadium this month at the World Cup!
Valentina, one of our amazing Kelly Elementary School students, is one of these 18 students who will have the once-and-a-lifetime opportunity to walk onto the field at Gillette Stadium this month at the World Cup.
The students have this opportuntiy through playing soccer with Soccer Without Borders, a partner of Chelsea Public Schools to provide access to soccer programming and academic enrichment for students across the district. They are part of the Quaker Oats Player Escort Program, and will accompany players onto the field prior to their World Cup group-stage matches this month.
WHDH Boston (Channel 7) visited Chelsea on Tuesday to meet Valentina to discuss this upcoming opportunity to be on the field at the World Cup!
