AED Updates
Exciting news for Breckenridge Community Schools! Thanks to Mrs. Giles's hard work and leadership, BCS is updating and expanding access to AEDs across the district. She has written several grants, and with generous support from the Gratiot Community Foundation, the Breckenridge Education Foundation, and the Breckenridge Sports Boosters, we will be adding four new AEDs!
BHS/MS staff and students also celebrated National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 7, 2025. Together, we can Go Red to save more lives.
Thank you to our amazing supporters and Mrs. Giles for making this possible. Your efforts are making a difference in keeping our schools safe!

Read-A-Thon!
It's time for the Breckenridge Elementary School Read-A-Thon!
Our school Read-A-Thon begins on Monday March 3, 2025 and is sure to be a fun and exciting event.
We understand that your time is valuable. We also know that providing the best education for your child is important. That's why we are encouraging everyone to activate their student's Read-A-Thon account as soon as possible. The instructions are straightforward, making it quick and hassle-free, and it should take less than 5 minutes of your time.
This account will serve as a hub for recording and monitoring your child's progress as a Reader in the event, and for you to share their Read-A-Thon message with friends and family. Use the link below to activate your student's Reader account:

Keep the Huskies Healthy!
Unfortunately as we head into colder months, the number of illnesses rise. If your student is ill, please keep them home. Promptly call the school with any symptoms your child is experiencing (fever, vomiting, sore throat, body ache, cough) and keep them home until they're symptom free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducers. If you take your student to the doctor for their symptoms, please have your student turn in the doctor's note to the office when they return to school. This will ensure the absence does not negatively affect them for truancy purposes.
