Good Evening Mustang Families,

I hope that you had a wonderful and restful weekend. As a reminder, Daylight Saving Time began this weekend, so clocks were set one hour ahead. We are also heading into a full five-day week for students, and we look forward to a productive and engaging week of learning at McCullough. A special reminder that tomorrow is McCullough Monday—we encourage all students and staff to wear their McCullough gear or school colors to proudly show their Mustang spirit.

Please take a few moments to review this week’s update for important reminders, upcoming events, and highlights from around the building. As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support of our Mustang community.

Week of 3/9 Exploratory Schedule

  • Monday, March 9th: A Day
  • Tuesday, March 10th: B Day

  • Wednesday, March 11th: A Day

  • Thursday, March 12th: B Day

  • Friday, March 13th: A Day

Fire Drill this Week

As part of our continued commitment to school safety, McCullough will conduct a fire drill at some point this week. Fire drills are held regularly throughout the year to ensure that students and staff are familiar with emergency procedures and can respond safely and efficiently if needed. Thank you for your continued support as we work to maintain a safe learning environment for all students.

End of 3rd Marking Period is Approaching

The 3rd Marking Period will end on March 19th. As we approach the end of the marking period, families are encouraged to review their child’s academic progress in Infinite Campus, speak with their student about completing and submitting any missing assignments, and reach out to teachers with any questions or concerns. Maintaining open communication and monitoring progress can help ensure students finish the marking period strong.

Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences

As a reminder, spring conferences will take place on Wednesday, April 1st and Thursday, April 2nd. Conference letters were sent home with students last week. Families are encouraged to review the details in the grade-level sections below and sign up for a conference time that works best for their schedule. We look forward to connecting with you to discuss your child’s progress and growth!

Upcoming Spring Sports Tryouts

Tryouts for track, baseball, and softball start this week. If your student is interested in trying out, please make sure they meet the academic eligibility requirements and have a current DIAA sports physical on file. Please review the athletics section at hte bottom of this newsletter. If you have any questions, please contact our Athletic Director, Dr. Morris.

Reminder – Cellphone and Electronic Device Policy
We will be continuing with hallway sweeps for cellphones and electronic devices. Please remind your students of MCC’s cellphone policy: all phones and accessories should be stored away and not visible throughout the entire school day. Thank you for helping us maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment.
