Weekly Message | Okma Campus

On Friday, our robotics team Las Guerrillas participated in a district First Robotics Competition (FRC) state qualifier event in Belleville and competed against 39 teams from Michigan. Las Guerrillas has been building their robot and preparing for the competitions for months, spending many late nights and weekends at their shop in Pontiac. Las Guerrillas ranked 3rd after the qualification matches and brought home the “Innovation in Control” award. The judges said: “From the jungle to the field, this team has it all under control. Their appealing robot is intricately designed, incorporating filters and latencies, and executed with agility and accuracy.”

The senior class will be having a picnic after school on April 11th. It is a half day ending at 11am. The picnic will take place behind the school. We are asking for parent volunteers to help set up/cook/clean up and for food donations. This will be a great opportunity for our seniors to bond as a class and celebrate all the work they have completed these past 4 years.
