Sept. is Attendance Awareness Month: Thank you for making attendance a priority! Sept. is Attendance Awareness Month: Thank you for making attendance a priority!

Thank you for making attendance a priority for the 2023-2024 school year! Consistent attendance will reduce your students’ stress and develop habits that will help them gain essential math and reading skills and succeed now and in the future. At school, students have access to meals, mental health supports, and enrichment activities - sports, clubs, and music - keeping them engaged in the school community. Students who attend are much more likely to pass classes and graduate.

Last week, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin presented our Conejo Academy of Leadership and Language Immersion with a check for $5,000.

Conejo Academy, with Jacqui Irwin's official endorsement, was awarded this special grant from the Barona Band of Mission Indians' Education Grant Program, the first of its kind in California created and administered by a Tribal Government. The goal of the program is to create strong educational opportunities for the children of California. Conejo Academy will use the grant money to upgrade their risers to a new outdoor stage where scholars will practice their public speaking and showcase their talents. Congratulations, Conejo!

CVUSD Mobile App: Q Icon Glitch Update CVUSD Mobile App: Q Icon Glitch Update

The CVUSD is aware that a recent update to the CVUSD Mobile App is resulting in most users not being able to access the Mobile Q interface via the CVUSD Mobile App. The District is in communication with the App's development team who is working to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, at this time, they are unable to provide the District with an ETA for when the issue will be resolved. Current workaround options, include:

  • For iPhone users: Open up the Q app icon and hold your finger on the “Parent Connection” button, the option to “Open link” should pop-up. If you click on this (“Open link”), it should bring you to the page that you are familiar with for logging in.
  • For Android/iPhone users: Paste the following URL into your mobile web browser: https://conejo.vcoe.org/
  • *Important Note: Q continues to load as expected via the direct URL on mobile and desktop web browsers: https://conejo.vcoe.org/ .

The District’s app is part of its mass communication consortium of services, and the company the District has used for many years for these services was recently purchased. This new company recently implemented new app elements, and the launch of these updates unintentionally resulted in the unexpected issue with the Q icon within the CVUSD Mobile app. The District was informed by the vendor that reverting back to the old version of the app is not an option.

The District apologizes sincerely for the inconvenience this issue is causing, and we hope to have a positive update to share soon.
