Worth Noting
- Book Blast: Wow!! What an amazing turnout for this program! We raised a little over $6500 which all goes towards books for our students! Every student will be taking home at least two books, even if they didn't participate in the program, and many students will be bringing home 6-10 books!!! Our Book Blast delivery day is set for the end of next week! Be on the lookout for a celebration post when our books arrive! Thank you to all who participated!! We couldn't be more excited for our students!
- Elementary Celebration Parade: It's time to celebrate our students and have a little fun! Our annual celebration parade will take place on Wednesday, May 17th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. For this event, load up your kiddos, pull through the circle drive, and let our staff celebrate their achievements in this reverse parade :) It's always a good time! You won't want to miss it!! This years' theme is beach fun; feel free to dress in your beach gear that night!
- 4th Quarter Assembly: DATE CHANGE!!! We had an awesome time celebrating our students successes during our 3rd quarter assembly. It's hard to believe the end of the year is right around the corner which means it's time to plan our next celebration assembly! We invite you to join us for our 3rd quarter assembly on May 11th @ 8:20 a.m. in the Wilcockson Gymnasium.
- Read 2 Succeed (3rd-5th graders): Each student in 3rd-5th grade has a reading goal that was chosen by them with the help of their classroom reading teacher. Give those gentle reminders or invitations to read to help them reach their goal each quarter! Please reach out to your child's teacher if you are unsure of what their goal is or if you have questions regarding their goal.
- Summer School: Leeton Elementary will not be offering summer school this school year. We apologize. As we are working to create a sustainable and thriving district, we are evaluating programs and expenses. At this time, it costs our district approximately $30,000 to run summer school. We are working to be creative in finding ways to be able to bring this program back in future years. Please know that students can attend any area school's summer school program. Parents are just required to provide transportation. At this time, we know that Warrensburg and Windsor will have summer school this summer. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding summer school.
