Next Parent Council Meeting

Come join us and meet other parents and guardians at 6:45pm. The meeting will start at 7pm. Children are welcome to attend. We will have coloring pages or they can sit with their adult.

Trunk or Treat - New Date!

This is a free event.

Costumes are welcome.


Want to help?


We are still looking for families to decorate their vehicles and pass out treats!


Not your thing? You can donate candy or small trinkets for the families with decorated vehicles to give away.

Dining for Dollars

When you dine in or call in take out at the Chateau Braintree on October 5th mention Academy Ave. For online orders, add item “Fundraiser” to your cart and enter “Academy Ave” as the special instructions. A portion of your bill will be donated back to AAPC.

CORI Raffle

Want a chance to win a $50 gift card to Precinct 10?


Why? A CORI check is needed to volunteer at all school events including, the bookfair, Fun Run, Field Day, Field trips, classroom activities, and more! CORI checks must be performed by Weymouth Public Schools and others are not transferrable from other districts, state agencies, or companies. Once it is complete, it is good for 3 years. Since CORI checks can take a couple of weeks to process, we are encouraging anyone who is interested in volunteering to complete their form now.


How? To fill out the form, go to the WPS Administration Offices at the Abigail Adams school. All you need is a valid ID. One you have submitted your application you can enter to win below. If you already have a CORI on file, you can enter to win the contest below! You can check in Aspen to make sure it is still active.


When? The contest will run from October 1st to October 19th. The winner will be pulled and notified on October 20th.

The Fun Run is coming!

Please save the date for our 3rd annual Fun Run that will take place on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Avenue Parent Council is a bridge between families and the Academy Avenue Primary School. We are a non-profit organization that fund-raises to provide many enrichment activities and opportunities to the students and staff at Academy. We also provide opportunities for families to connect with the Academy community outside of the typical school day, from parent nights out to family bowling events and more.
