Congratulations to Delaney Williams and her steer Conway. Conway overcame a life threatening fall in February and was able to rebound and place 4th in his class out of 32, allowing him to be auctioned this last week. Way to go Delaney!
Shout out to Ella Ramon (class of 2025) and her teacher Mrs. Fiszer on the design of the dress below. Ella started this project in her Fashion Design I class in 2024. See below for comments from Ella about her work.
“I started this dress in January of 2024, and after a lot of on and off work, I just finished it this most recent February. The pattern I used was made by Kiana Bonollo, a woman who has started her own business in pattern making and fashion. The inspiration for my dress partially came from her own mock up, although I knew I wanted a 3D effect on my outer fabric, hence the flowers. I used a polyester for the lining and organza for the shell, both from Joann’s. This project was meant to push my skills, and it did. It was a long process, but only because I was limited to an hour and a half every other day in Mrs. Fiszer’s fashion design class. By the end of the school year I was spending entire days in her classroom just sewing and ironing. What once was two bolts of fabric and a stack of a hundred papers waiting to be taped together is now a dress I made with my own two hands.”
Congratulations to our LT Tennis athletes for their performance on the court in the 4th Annual Horsepower Invitational. Special congratulations to Addison & Aaditt for being part of the FISD athletes winning the top brackets, and Arnav S. & Arnav P. and Sahrash & Maika for grabbing runner up positions.
Our Best Buddies students enjoyed time together participating in St. Patrick’s Day festivities.
Coming Up on the Trail
Counseling Corner
Welcome Mrs. McElhinney - Counselor for Li-Ri
Hello! My name is Terie McElhinney, and I am excited to serve as the newest counselor here at Lebanon Trail! I’ve spent the last 7 years as the middle school ILA teacher at the SOC. I was an event planner for 17 years before going into education. I live in McKinney with my husband and two daughters. One of my daughters graduated from FISD a few years ago and one is set to graduate this year. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, engaging in outdoor activities, and rooting for the Dallas Stars. I look forward to contributing to the success and well-being of our students at Lebanon Trail.
RSVP to join a discussion with The Princeton Review on March 27th at 6:30 PM for an insightful session about the growing role of AP exams in college admissions and how they compare to traditional standardized tests like the SAT and ACT.
With AP test participation far surpassing SAT and ACT enrollment- even before the pandemic- many students and parents are wondering: could AP’s eventually replace traditional standardized tests like the SAT and ACT?
“40 Tests To Rule Them All” will be held in person and tackle key questions, including:
Are AP tests becoming the new admission standard?
What are the mental health implications of increasing AP exam pressure?
Will the shift to digital AP’s improve the testing experience?
Featuring Princeton Review's Editor-in-chief Rob Franek

Graduates may only wear FISD-approved graduation attire and regalia including the campus-approved cap and gown and campus-approved cords and stoles.
Non-FISD approved stoles, leis, cords and/or any other non-FISD-approved outerwear are not permitted at graduation ceremonies.
Caps and/or other FISD-approved regalia and/or attire may not be decorated or amended in any way that disrupts uniformity amongst graduates. For example, a student may wear their personal jewelry or a small pendant, but may not wear a jacket, shawl, etc. that would make the student appear distractingly dissimilar to their graduating peers.
- All items that don’t conform to the above guidelines will be confiscated when students check in at the Ford Center and it is the responsibility of the student to collect those items during diploma pick-up immediately following commencement ceremonies. Lebanon Trail is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
