Welcome Back to a Fantastic New School Year! 🎉📚

We’re thrilled to welcome you and your incredible students back for another exciting year of learning and growth! This year promises to be filled with new adventures, creative projects, and lots of fun. We can’t wait to dive into our engaging curriculum, make new friends, and explore new concepts together.

Stay tuned for updates, events, and all the wonderful things we’ll be accomplishing in third grade. Here’s to a year of discovery and success!

Lamar CISD is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and distraction-free learning environment for all students. Students are expected to follow the district dress code while at school and during school-related activities. The guidelines below provide a quick overview of dress code expectations.

Hoods

• Hoodies and jackets with hoods are permitted; however, hoods may not be worn over the head while on campus.

Student ID Cards

• Student ID cards must be visible and worn on the upper portion of the body at all times.

Shirts

• Shirts must be an appropriate length.
• Shirts must display appropriate words, graphics, and designs.

Bottoms

• Shorts, pants, skirts, and other bottoms must be an appropriate length.

Footwear

• Slippers, house shoes, and shower shoes are not permitted.
• Slides and Crocs are acceptable.

We want to remind you that students are required to wear their ID badges at all times for security and identification purposes. If a student forgets their badge, they will need to purchase a new ID for $5. Please reinforce the importance of keeping their IDs with them daily.

Hello, families! We wanted to share a quick attendance update for this week. 2nd Grade dropped from 2nd place to 4th place in attendance, and we need your help getting back up! Right now, our grade level attendance is 93.73%.

Our campus goal is 95%, and every day your child is at school makes a difference. Being at school daily helps students stay on track with learning, build strong routines, and not miss important instruction.

Please continue to help by making sure your child comes to school every day and on time unless they are sick.

Let’s work together to get 2nd Grade back up in the rankings and keep pushing toward our attendance goal! Thank you for your continued support! 💚⭐

For the first two weeks of school there will be NO lunch visitors. Pink Elementary staff will use this time during the first two weeks to teach and practice cafeteria expectations. We will begin welcoming lunch visitors on campus on August 24, 2026. 2nd Grade Lunch Time: 11:25am - 11:55am
