Field Trip
We’re excited for our upcoming field trip to the Liberty Science Center on Wednesday, March 25! Please review the reminders below to make sure you’re prepared for a great day:
- Arrive at school at your normal time with only the following items:
- Bring a packed lunch and a personal water bottle, unless you are getting lunch from the cafe. Please pick up as soon as you arrive at school Wednesday morning.
- You may bring a drawstring bag for your belongings
- Wear sneakers and your class shirt that was handed out this morning (Monday) or a blue shirt
- Bring a sweatshirt just in case it gets chilly inside
- Phones are allowed, but must be used appropriately throughout the trip
- We will be visiting the gift shop, so you may bring money if you’d like
We expect to return to school at approximately 5:15 PM. Parents, please do not block the curb into the back parking lot, this is where the 8 buses will be parked.
We’re looking forward to a fun and engaging day—see you Wednesday!
Spring Conferences
Parents and Guardians,
We will have one day this spring for parent-teacher conferences, April 2nd. Slots are set up on a first come, first served basis. Please keep your own record of times and dates for your conferences.
Conferences will be held between 7:55 a.m and 3:10 pm. They can be in person or via Google Meet. You can determine this when you sign up for a conference..
Please be mindful that each conference slot is 15 minutes long. Due to the high volume of conferences, we will need to stick tightly to the 15-minute windows, so if you join late, you will not get the full 15 minutes allotted.

Working Together For a Safe Bus Ride
We appreciate your help in reminding students that the bus ride is part of the school day and should be safe and respectful for everyone. Please review these important reminders with your child:
Put cell phones away while walking up or down the bus steps or crossing the street.
Distractions can lead to slips, trips, or not noticing cars in motion.Avoid running to the bus.
Rushing increases the chance of falling or not seeing traffic. It’s safer to walk calmly.Keep ear buds out when entering or exiting the bus.
Students need to be able to hear the driver’s directions and any car horns nearby.Wait for the driver’s signal before crossing the street after exiting.
The driver can see traffic that students may not—waiting for their direction helps everyone stay safe.Stay seated while the bus is moving.
Sudden stops or turns can cause injuries if students are standing or moving around.Use indoor voices—no screaming on the bus.
Loud noise can distract the driver, making it harder to hear sirens, horns, or students who need help.Do not take photos or videos of other students without their permission.
Everyone deserves privacy and respect, and recording without consent can create conflict or embarrassment. Please don’t eat on the bus.
Food can be a choking hazard, and some students have allergies that can be triggered by nearby snacks.
By following these simple expectations, we can make sure that every student has a safe and comfortable ride to and from school. Thank you for your support!
