Bogota Middle School Update
March 21, 2025
Essentials
We had a fantastic week at Bogota Middle School, with both the 6th and 7th grades participating in a soccer tournament to break up the long stretch of the school year. Thank you to our staff members who organized and facilitated the event—our students were well-behaved and enjoyed the friendly competition!
As the third marking period quickly comes to a close, we encourage our students to stay in communication with their teachers and seek extra help after school when needed.
Please note that the Bogota School District will be closed on March 31st in observance of Eid al-Fitr.
A reminder that our Bogota Middle School Concert is coming up on Monday, March 24th. The concert will begin at 6:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM for parents. We hope you can join us for this special event!
Thank you to the students who purchased a puzzle piece in support of Autism Awareness Month.
Additionally, NJSLA testing dates have been posted on the school website. We will provide further updates as we approach testing in May.
Thank you all for your continued support. If you have any questions, please call the main office or email us.
A Note from Mrs. Radburn
It is so bittersweet to announce that my last days at Bogota Middle School are within the next two weeks. I want to take a moment to thank the teachers, staff, and parents but especially Mr. Albiez, Mrs. Quinones and the students for making my time here so special. To all my kids, please know I am your biggest cheerleader no matter where I am and I will always remember my first years as a School Counselor because of you all! From the words of Winnie the Pooh “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”
~ Love, Ms. Radburn
BMS Teacher of the Year 2024-2025
Nomination form closes on Sunday, March 23
The Bogota School District is participating in the Bergen County Teacher/Educational Services Professionals Recognition Program for the 22nd year. This program was designed to recognize the state’s many fine teachers. By acknowledging teachers’ achievements, this annual program aims to help increase the stature of teaching, attract talented people to teaching careers, and encourage experienced teachers to remain in the profession.
Teachers selected for the program will receive a certificate of commendation, as well as the opportunity to network with other outstanding teachers.
On behalf of the Bergen County Teacher/Educational Services Professionals Recognition Committee, I would like to invite you to participate in this year’s program. The committee will use your nominations as part of their selection process.
Administrators and teachers who have received this award in the past five years are not eligible.
