This Week's Counseling Spotlight
This week our 4th and 5th graders put our growth mindsets into practice. Each student was tasked with building the tallest tower that they could in 5 minutes. We took the time to fix our mindsets before the activity and monitored them throughout. We worked through frustration when towers fell, novelty of a challenge they'd never attempted before, and the process of figuring out how to adapt and improve their structures in subsequent rounds. We focused on GROWTH instead of WINNING.

Upcoming Fall Head of School Huddles
Maximizing Student Success at WAAS
This Huddle is especially helpful for new WAAS parents and families, but all families are welcome! Itβs a great opportunity to reconnect with our Back-to-School message, WAAS learning philosophy, and our βPlaybook for Successβ as we wrap up the first quarter and look ahead to the rest of the school year.
Post-WAAS High School Options
This Huddle is primarily designed for parents of current 8th graders as they weigh their high school options. However, families with younger students who want to begin looking ahead to the high school years are also welcome to attend.
