Nike Scouts, Let's Make a Difference!
Nike Elementary is teaming up with the PHS DECA Program to collect can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House!
Everyone can help with this wonderful cause! We are collecting tabs from:
- Soda cans
- Soup and vegetable cans
- Pet food cans
- Tennis ball cans
Where do you take them? Bring your tabs to Nike Elementary and drop them in the collection bottle located in the foyer!
Every tab counts, and together, our Nike Scouts can make a difference for families in need!
Keep saving those tabs and thank you for supporting this great cause!
Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days!
Help us celebrate and recognize Red Ribbon Week with our special Spirit Days! Let's show our commitment to making healthy choices and being drug-free! We can't wait to see the creativity and school spirit our Nike Scouts bring each day!
Let's make it a fun and meaningful week, Nike Scouts!

Planning Ahead for a Great School Year!
We may only be one week into the new school year, but we know many families are already looking ahead and planning their next vacation, weekend getaway, family adventure, or doctor’s appointment!
To help make planning a little easier, we’re sharing our Vacation & Appointment Planner!
We know life happens, and we completely understand that our Scouts will occasionally need to miss school. Our goal is simply to encourage families to plan ahead whenever possible so our students can make the most of their time at school.
Every day at school is another opportunity to learn, grow, make memories, and spend time with friends!
Every day counts. Every Scout matters!
Take a look at the planner above and start planning ahead!

Thoughts from Dr. Tollison:
Happy Friday Nike Families,
I cannot believe we are already wrapping up October next week! Thank you to all of our wonderful families for helping make Nike Elementary such a special place. We are grateful for your continued support, involvement, and partnership in helping our students grow and succeed.
Thursday was an extra-special day at Nike as we welcomed a record-breaking number of grandparents and special friends to our school! We had over 300 guests attend our Grandparents/Special Friends Day. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, proud moments, and special memories being made. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success!
Next week, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week with fun spirit days to remind our students about the importance of making healthy, positive choices. We will wrap up the week with our annual Missouri Day celebration, a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about our state's history and traditions. Missouri Day is Friday, October 30th! We have some fun activities planned to celebrate Missouri’s history and traditions. More information will be sent home soon, so keep an eye out for details!
Thank you for being such an important part of our Nike family. Together, we are growing tomorrow's difference makers!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by calling the school office at 636-271-1444 or emailing jtollison@mvr3.k12.mo.us. We appreciate your continued support!
