The Bear Bulletin
Mountain View High School July 11th, 2025
School Begins August 4th!
A Message from Principal Stewart
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope you have had a great summer break with friends and family. At Mountain View, we are beginning our seventeenth year of excellence in everything; academics, athletics, and fine arts. Our theme this year is CHAMPIONS. We will be celebrating all the ways we are CHAMPIONS for each other: our students, staff, parents, and community. I am proud of our Bears and look forward to the accomplishments of our CHAMPIONS this year!
I want to personally invite you to Open House on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 7:30-10:00. This is a wonderful time to meet your teachers and walk your schedule. We will also have bus and cafeteria information available. Please look for me and come say hello! I am excited to share that we are moving into year two of our SUMMIT program this year. SUMMIT is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), PBL (Project Based Learning), and Student Leadership Cohort. We are excited to welcome our second freshman class as they take a deep dive into STEM and experience innovative, cross-curricular learning.
We encourage you to engage in your child’s educational experience and partner with your child’s teachers. We hope you will join us for Open House, athletic and fine arts events, and grade level parent nights hosted by our counselors. You can also stay connected by regularly visiting the GCPS Parent Portal. The Bear Bulletin, our parent newsletter, is published every two weeks, and is an excellent way to stay on top of the latest Mountain View announcements. In addition, we have awesome booster clubs and a wonderful Mountain View High School PTSA that welcome your membership and involvement.
Thank you for your continued support of Mountain View High School. We look forward to another year of excellence! Go Bears!
Honored to be your principal,
Stephanie Stewart

This year, we are committed to not only achieving excellence on the field but also fostering a culture of integrity, sportsmanship, and community. Our programs are designed to develop well-rounded individuals who excel both academically and athletically. Our student-athletes, coaches, and staff are dedicated to upholding these values both on and off the field. We are committed to fostering an environment where every individual can thrive and contribute to the collective success of our teams.
I encourage you to join us in supporting our athletes throughout the season. Your enthusiasm and support are vital to our success and help build a strong, united community. Thank you for being a part of the Mountain View High School family. Together, we can achieve great things.
