Playa Del Fuego
Registration for Camp Contact at Playa Del Fuego is now open! We're working hard to be placed in a location away from any sound camps this year!
FlowJam -- Special Opportunity to get Discount tickets ends April 7th
Flowjam is happing a few weeks earlier this year, June 8-11th in Rixleyville, VA.
If you register and pay by April 7th at the special dues rate of $295 to $345, your camp registration will include a four-day ticket, a $260+ value (Thursday-Sunday) along with all of the amenities and meals with Camp Contact (a $75+ value). Camp Contact has the best camping location on the land (thank you Meredith!) and offers a great hang-out spot and community with a full kitchen and three fridges (even for your personal items), charging station, body work area, and more. No ice runs needed! Further, you can arrange to have Glamping Tents set up in our area!

Burning Man Tickets
For now we wanted you to know about Low Income and Main Sale Tickets:
Low Income (Ticket Aid) Tickets for Burning Man
Ticket Aid Program is now open for applications!!
Burning Man has allocated 5,000 tickets to be issued to participants accepted into the program. These tickets cost $225 (plus taxes and fees) and must be picked up at the Box Office at the Main Gate on the event grounds.
The application process is open from noon PDT March 15th - May 24th noon PDT and requires applicants to provide proof of their low-income status. Accepted applicants must pay for their tickets online between July 24 - 27th.
OOH! This sounds too good to be true!
What do I need to apply?!
Great question!
You must provide 3 documents showing proof of income and expenses.
Examples and accepted documents are:
- 2021-2022 tax documents
- bank statements
- recent pay stubs.
- disability or unemployment pay stubs
- current student loan statement
- proof of debt
- mortgage statement

You will be asked a series of questions or to write an essay during your application process, this will allow Burning Man to have a better understanding of how you will enrich the Burning Man Experience.

2. Why you feel that you are an asset to the Burn...
3. How do you plan to participate [Camping with camp Contact!! and one of the amazing other groups/ divisions of Burning Man (Temple Guardians, Art builds, Rangers, Lamplighters, Center Camp Cafe), putting on an experience on playa or even more?!]
4. What do you plan on bringing? (leading workshops, performance art, your beautiful radiant soul?)
5. How your financial documents work together to tell the story of your need.
6. Keep it Agile, Brief, and Concise!

Ok, so what can I do to prepare?
This can feel like a lot of information. We have about a week to prepare. Camp Contact suggests getting all your ducks in a row now to apply quickly and efficiently.
- scan your necessary documents sooner rather than later to make sure they are clear and legible
- Write your essay/ answer the questions in advance so you don't feel pressed for time to review what you wrote. This will also allow you to keep it brief and concise.
- Put all this information in ONE SPOT on your phone or laptop or tablet!

The NUMBER ONE thing stated on the website is: if you already purchased a ticket for 2023 Burning Man, you are not eligible for a low-income ticket. ONE EMAIL PER TICKET APPLICATION/REGISTRATION. Awarded tickets are NON-TRANSFERRABLE

Main Sale Tickets!
Yes, you heard me correctly!
On April 12th 2023, at 12pm (noon) PDT Burning Man main sale tickets are available.
THIS PROCESS HAPPENS FASTER THAN A HUMMINGBIRD'S WINGBEATS!
(or a blink of an eye if you are trying to be all "human" about it)
We ask that everyone who has not already purchased a Burning Man ticket (this includes the Ticket Aid Program applicants) to partake in the main sale.
If you have gained a ticket through the Stewards Sale, ( but are not the purchaser of the original ticket, (as a buyer of the second ticket in the pack) we encourage you to attempt the main sale anyway to increase our odds.
What do I need to do?
Great question, you glorious human you!
- create or check your existing burner profile BEFORE April 5th [which happens to be Peace Weaver's Birthday :-)]
- PRE - REGISTER for the ticket sale on April 5th on or after12 NOON PST. at http://profiles.burningman.org PreRegistration closes April 7th at Noon PST.
- clear your schedule. The online ticket booth opens at 12pm ON THE NOSE! Some suggest calling out of work or leave early, also, setting alarms on your phone.
- Make sure your internet and computer are working smoothly... if you don't have a solid server at home, go some where you can access reliable internet like a cafe, library, someone else's home... maybe hide away in a closet at work... lol... but really though.....
- Attend our "CC Day of Ticket Sale Support Group" on the Camp Contact Zoom Room. This lets us know if anyone was successful. Plus, there is some lag time when you get on the "ticket line", Contacteers in the past have enjoying talking with others while waiting.
- You can only buy up to 2 tickets and 1 car pass. We highly encourage you to buy 2 tickets if it is within your means because no matter what, someone out there is hoping "the playa provides". [And getting to the purchasing window for the main sale is literally winning the lottery, so get what you can!]
Important things to remember:
- One credit card per purchase
- One name and email per purchase
- Must have a Burning Man account created by April 5th [https://profiles.burningman.org]
- Must Pre-register between April 5th and April 7th (Noon deadline)
- Ticket Aid Applicants cannot purchase a ticket
- Sale starts at 12 pm (noon) PDT exactly
