November 17th-19th are K-8 Parent Teacher Conferences. Conferences may be held in person or using Zoom. It is your choice. There will be half days of school Nov. 17 & 18 (12:00 dismissal). Nov. 17 & 18, as well as all day Nov. 19 will be used for Parent-Teacher Conferences.

1. All parents with children in Kindergarten through 5th grades are required to attend a conference during this time frame.
2. Families with children in 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be invited to conference if any of their teachers feels a need.
3. If you have a child in 6th, 7th or 8th grade and aren’t invited but wish to touch base with one or more teachers, you may still book a conference. Because middle school has five teachers, for your own comfort, we encourage you to find out each teacher requiring a conference and book back-to-back.

Do you need Scrip gift cards to use at the grocery store for buying those yummy Thanksgiving foods and supplies? How about scrip for a Christmas gift or stocking stuffer? Now is the time to get your SCRIP! If you wait too close to the big day, there might not be the selection you want or need. Why not make your order now to help things go smoothly. Remember, any item that has a black asterisk on the Scrip Order Form is a special order and needs to be ordered now for it to arrive in time.

Our last order for Thanksgiving will be made the morning of Monday 11/15 and our last special order for Christmas will be made Sunday 12/11 to get here in time. Scrip order forms can always be found on our website under Mygcs or click HERE for regular Scrip or HERE for Holiday Scrip.. All you need do is fill it in and return it in your child’s Special Delivery. The Business Office will contact you when it is ready for pick up.

Don’t wait, get what you need now and have a wonderful holiday season!

1. Virtually any symptom is considered a COVID symptom with the exception of an earache. Call the school office to report your child’s symptom/s or if they have been in close contact (within 6 feet over 15 minutes) with a COVID positive person, (760-747-3029 x 7115.)
2. If they have NOT been in close contact, the child must stay at home for 24 hours AFTER their symptoms have improved AND they are fever free without taking fever reducing medicine.
3. If they HAVE been in close contact AT SCHOOL WITH MASK ON with a COVID-positive person and they DO NOT develop symptoms, they should get tested for COVID 5 days after being exposed and again 3 days after that. If both tests come back “Negative”, they may return to school with a copy of their test results. If they HAVE been in close contact with a COVID-positive person either on campus without masks or off-campus, they can return 15 days after the last day of contact.
4. If they HAVE been in close contact with a COVID positive person and they develop symptoms, they need to take a COVID test, and stay home for 10 days after the first symptom is experienced and then may return to school.
5. If an adult or student has been in close contact with a COVID positive person and they have NO symptoms AND are vaccinated or have had COVID 90 days prior to exposure, quarantine is NOT required. They should test 5 days after exposure and turn in a copy of their Negative test.
6. Any student that has been vaccinated should bring in a copy for their student file.
