📣 Football Playoff Update!
Our Pioneer Titans have advanced to Round 2 of the CIF Playoffs! 🏈 Come out and show your support on Friday, November 14th at 7:00 PM as Pioneer takes on Trinity Classical Academy. The game location will be announced next Wednesday, and tickets will go on sale the same day through our GoFan site.

Speech Contest
There's a High School Student Speech Contest on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the WUHSD Board Room (Building R, 9401 S. Painter Ave, Whittier).
Students participating will give a three-minute speech about this year's topic: "Lead with Care." Students will talk about how leaders can show that caring about others makes them stronger, and share how students lead with care in their own community.
We can send two students from our school. The winner gets a $350 scholarship and moves on to the next round on March 11, 2026. If you keep winning, you could speak at a big event in April!
Students who would like to participate, can see Mrs. Shin-Perez in J-18 during lunch beginning December 3rd. This is your chance to share your ideas and represent our school!
Classroom Spotlight: WICOR in Action! Physical Education
Shout Out:
This week in Mr. Yessian’s PE classes, students are launching their Core Value Group Project. Since September, they’ve been identifying and reflecting on weekly value words. Now, students will explore 20–30 core values, defining them through real-world actions and behaviors. Working in groups, they’ll create a slide deck illustrating each value with clear Do’s and Don’ts that show how these traits appear in daily life. This project demonstrates how WICOR strategies—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—are actively integrated into Physical Education.
