HFRCS Newsletter October 28, 2025
Volume 5 Edition 9
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The day of our Hawk Walk was absolutely picture perfect and our students had a wonderful time dancing in the morning, walking in the afternoon and finishing up with our pumpkin chucking contest! Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Hawk Walk! We are currently at $25,733 of our $40,000 goal! There is still time to make your donation! Help our students meet their classroom goal! Our Hawk Walk donation platform will close on Friday, November 7.
The Pot of Gold Challenge concluded yesterday, with Miss Lusher’s 1B class as the overall winner! Remember, the Pot of Gold program is a yearly program where you can continue to earn tuition credits. I encourage everyone to participate in this great program!
This evening, we will be having an EITC Information Session in the Large Hall beginning at 6:00 PM. EITC, or Educational Improvement Tax Credit, is a state program that enables your state tax dollars to be redirected to our school for tuition assistance. If you are interested in learning more about EITC and how you might be able to participate in this program, please join us this evening.
October is the month of the Holy Rosary. This Thursday at 2:00 PM, we will be having a Living Rosary Prayer Service. Our middle school students will be assisting in this devotion by representing the prayers in the rosary. Please join us as we honor our Blessed Mother!
Friday is Halloween and we will be having our annual Halloween Parade for grades PK–3rd grade at 9:30 AM. Parents and friends are invited to watch the parade as we will be walking through the Parish Center parking lot. Students in grades 4-8 will be having a Halloween orange/black free dress down day.
Looking ahead, on November 3, we will begin wearing our winter uniform. Please see today’s newsletter to refresh yourself with the components of our winter uniform. Also, in the first week of November we will be having our Parent-Teacher conferences. By now, you should have received a sign-up link for conferences. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support with conferences.
We will also be initiating our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive beginning on Monday, November 3. The listing of what each class is requested to bring in is posted in today’s newsletter. I am always grateful for the generosity of our school families in assisting those who are experiencing food insecurity.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty
We are a family of FAITH! Remember to go to Mass this weekend.
