Hello Arnold Families,

Welcome to Glenda Arnold ECLC! Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare our classrooms and hallways for a vibrant, inspiring new school year filled with learning, laughter, and growth.

At Arnold, we believe that a child’s educational journey is strongest when built on a close partnership between school and home. Throughout the year, our team will work hand-in-hand with you to foster your child’s social, emotional, and academic development.

Thank you for trusting us with your young learners. We are honored to welcome your family to our campus and we are ready for your child to begin writing their educational story with us.

Morning Arrival - Doors Open at 7am Morning Arrival - Doors Open at 7am

Morning Arrival 7:00am-7:30am

  • Morning Bus Students will be escorted into the building by staff members as they arrive. Please make sure their backpack tags stay on their backpack. This is how we identify which classroom your child should be escorted to.

  • RCISD Employees Only You may drop off your child between 6:30am-6:59am in the Arnold Cafeteria. This is the only time that using a badge to enter the campus as a RCISD parent is permitted. You must sign them in and there is a fee associated with this employee perk.

  • Morning Car Line : Please have your student awake and their supplies ready to exit the vehicle. A staff member will help your child out of the vehicle and escort them to their teacher.

  • Separation Anxiety: We expect some separation anxiety, and our staff is well-trained to support children through these moments.

  • Parking & Walking to the Doors: This is not permitted during morning arrival. If you arrive late and the staff attendants are not able to walk your child inside, you need to bring your ID to the doors and you can sign your child in as tardy.

Afternoon Dismissal

  • Dismissal Time: 2:35 PM
  • **If your child has an appointment that you need to pick them up for, you must do this by 1:45pm. Our office staff is preparing for dismissal after this time and cannot accomodate visitors.
  • Multiple Students: If you have children at both ECLC and an elementary school, you must pick up your ECLC student first.
  • Important Safety Rules

    • Stay in Your Vehicle: For safety and efficiency, please do NOT walk up to the school doors to retrieve your child. All students will be brought directly out to vehicles. Make sure your gold or blue tag is visible.

    • Parking Lot Entrances: Please refer to the attached graphic/photo to see where to enter the parking lot.

Dismissal Tag Color System (Pik My Kid)

  • GOLD Tag: Pull into the GOLD parking lot and follow the directions of the lot attendants. Please ensure your GOLD tag remains clearly visible in your windshield the entire time you are in line.
    • BLUE Tag: Pull into the BLUE lot, park in an open parking space, and a staff member will walk your child directly out to your car.

    • Missing a Tag? If you have not received a dismissal tag, please contact your child's teacher as soon as possible.

First Weeks Reminders Please exercise extra patience and kindness. Dismissal naturally takes a bit longer during the first few days of school while students and staff adjust to new names, faces, and routines.

Riding the Bus Home:

  • Students that ride home on a bus will be placed on the bus at dismissal. Please ensure you have downloaded the Tripfinder app to stay informed of drop off times. If you need the bus and you have not signed up, you can contact Transportation at https://www.rcisd.org/o/rcisd/page/transportation
  • Students can only be taken by bus to the address linked in their Skyward Account.

YMCA

  • Rockwall County YMCA offers After-School care on our campus for a fee. You can find information about registering at https://www.rcisd.org/o/rcisd/page/ymca-childcare

Dear Glenda Arnold ECLC Families,

Welcome to a wonderful new school year! I am honored to introduce myself as the Principal of Glenda Arnold Early Childhood Learning Center.

A little about me: I am starting my 20th year in early childhood education. I began my career as a prekindergarten teacher right here in Royse City ISD before going on to teach kindergarten. I hold a master's degree in early childhood education and am special education certified. My husband Aaron and I have two beautiful daughters, Kinsey (Sr.) and Kayla, (Pre-K). Early childhood education is my true passion, and I am deeply committed to ensuring that every single student feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

At Glenda Arnold, we know that early childhood is a time of rapid growth, discovery, and excitement. Our goal every day is to cultivate a warm, nurturing environment where your child can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Strong communication and collaboration between home and school are essential to that success, and I look forward to building a strong partnership with your family.

Thank you for trusting us with your young learners. We are going to have an incredible year together!
