Miss Chezick's Kindergarten Update

Next week we will be working on the following skills

• We will be reviewing our letters for next week. We will be using shaving cream on Monday so please have your child wear old clothes, just in case :)

• We will be continuing our Readers Workshop. We will be continuing our If/Then unit.

• We will be continuing Handwriting Without Tears, focusing on letter formation and name writing. We are also working on writing about the same topic to make our own book!

• We are reviewing our first five units.

• We will continue Second Step, our SEL curriculum. We are starting unit 4 which talks about problem solving.

• • November 22, 23, 24 - No School: Thanksgiving Break
  • November 23-28 - WLES PTO Online Auction *watch for more information
  • December 6 - PTO meeting in the WLES library *FREE childcare

Please pack a snack each day. I will have extras for those who need them. If anyone would like to donate individually wrapped snacks, that would be helpful!

Please pack a set of extra clothes for your child to leave at school in case they need them.

Please make sure your child's clothes, hoodies, water bottles, lunchboxes, backpacks, etc are labeled so we can return them if they get left behind. :)

Your child is coming home with a daily folder. Please empty and return. Feel free to send notes in it, too.

Library day is Wednesday! Please make sure both books are in their backpack so they can check out new ones!

Please return your child's permission slip for Finding Nemo, Jr. so they can attend with our class! If you need another one, please let me know.
