Grandview Elementary
Parent/ Family Update - August 1, 2025

April 24, 2026
From the Principal:
Dear Grandview families,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I want to thank our students, staff, and families for the hard work and dedication that continue to make Grandview such a special place to learn and grow.
Our Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) testing window for students in grades 3–5 begins the week of May 4. Our students and teachers have worked incredibly hard all year, and we are proud of the growth they have shown. We know they are ready to do their best!
Families can help support student success by continuing to encourage healthy habits at home. Please help students get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day. These simple routines make a big difference in helping students feel confident, focused, and prepared.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we will finish the year strong while showing our TigerPRIDE: Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence!
With gratitude,
Dr. Susan Short
Principal, Grandview Elementary School

Join us for our next PTO meeting on April 29th at 3:30 PM at GES!
As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 school year, the PTO will be focusing on a few key ways to support our amazing teachers such as Room Parents, Holiday Program decorations, and Teacher Appreciation. To make these efforts a success, we’re hoping to bring in a few more parents to help coordinate. The commitment is small and flexible, and every bit of help makes a big difference for our teachers and students. If you’re interested in lending a hand, sign up now, and we’ll send more details in August.
We’d love to have you involved!
