Weekly Message Weekly Message

Good evening Beverly Hills Middle School Families,

We are excited to begin week 2 of the school year. It has been nice to have our students be in school for full days. We are continuing to learn the expectations in the building but also beginning to dive into the content. We are excited to see everyone tomorrow at our Open House and next Saturday at our family picnic.

September is Attendance Awareness Month!

Every school day matters. Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their teachers, classmates, and learning, while also building the habits they need for success in school and beyond. Establishing consistent morning and evening routines, planning ahead for appointments, and communicating with your child’s school when challenges arise can make a meaningful difference in student attendance.

Together, we can help every student be present, engaged, and ready to learn—because every day counts!

Open House- Mark your Calendars!

Our Open House is tomorrow, Thursday, September 10, 2026. The event will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. You will have opportunities to meet your student’s teachers, get information on resources available to families both through the school and the community. We look forward to seeing you.

MAP Testing

Monday (9/14) and Tuesday (9/15) we will me taking our MAP tests in Math and Reading. MAP® Growth™ measures what skills students know and informs teachers about what students are ready to learn next. This assessment is administered to all students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. MAP Growth adjusts to each student’s performance and creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance—whether a student performs on, above, or below grade level.

Please speak with your student about doing their best on the MAP assessments.

Safe2Say Something Reminder

The Safe2Say Something system teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, of individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and say something, using our anonymous reporting system. Safe2Say Something is also a way to anonymously report unsafe, potentially harmful, dangerous, violent or criminal activities in any school in Pennsylvania.
