A Message from Principal Laughlin
Dear WIS Parents / Guardians,
I wanted to share with you information regarding the progress on the boys/girls locker rooms. As of now, the project is on schedule with the clearing of the space and removal of lockers, office areas and storage closets. Beginning on Thursday afternoon (May 22), preparation work will begin to address the removal of the asbestos pipe coverage. The actual abatement of the asbestos will not begin until the evening and will continue through the long weekend.
Following the work on the locker rooms, we are expecting the technology lab (rm. 803) will be the next room addressed. Students and their classes will be uninterrupted as we will utilize our computer lab in room 309 through the remainder of the school year. Finally, over the summer, our art room (rm. 802) will be getting its long needed update and redesign.
All of these projects are exciting and I am sure that the students will love what is awaiting them in these rooms. As we progress through the next few months, additional information on the status of the projects can be found under the “Referendum” tab on the district’s main website.
Sincerely,
Mr. Laughlin
