March Book Madness is back for another year, and we need your expertise to build this yearโ€™s bracket! As educators and staff, you know our students and stories bestโ€”your opinion matters, and your input directly shapes the titles our school will read, discuss, and vote on.

Whether it's a hidden gem, a beloved classic, a niche local author, or a high-interest new release, we want to hear what books you think deserve a spot in the tournament.

Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 to October 15, and the Richmond LRC has a new website to help you celebrate in your classroom! Along with a featured book list, it has quick, kid-friendly fun facts to share with students, like the story of Pura Belprรฉ, the first Puerto Rican librarian at the New York Public Library, or the everyday English words that came from Nahuatl and Spanish. You'll also find a short explanation of why the month begins on September 15, plus a list of local events for families in the Chicago area.

Every featured title links straight to our Hispanic Heritage Month collection in Destiny, so students can find and check out the books right away.

Please take a look and pass these resources along to families!
