First Pep Rally of the Year
Legacy Academy held its first pep rally of the year this week as students and staff filled the gymnasium. Donning their matching Legacy Academy ethos (Character Community Excellence) shirts, they celebrated school spirit, competed in challenges, and danced their way back to class. The Legacy community is excited that the 2026-2027 school year is officially underway and is looking forward to what’s to come.
When may students wear their black ethos shirts?
Students may wear their ethos shirt on Fridays with a Legacy uniform bottom. We will also wear them on some spirit days, (this will be communicated with parents beforehand) and they may wear them on free dress days as well.
Character Shirts
This year, both middle school (TWIX) and elementary students ("Paws"itivity) will be able to earn gray character education shirts with character traits listed on the back. Character Students are selected monthly by their teachers for consistently demonstrating character traits from the character education program.
When may students wear their gray character shirts?
As a result of character shirts being earned by students, character shirts earned from the current year AND from previous years (with R.O.A.R. on the back) may be worn any day with approved uniform bottoms.
Front Office News
We want to commend those parents who have been able to arrive to carpool a bit later. It has really helped keep traffic off the highway and we are getting through pick up quicker as well. The school board would also like to ask parents to not park in our auxiliary lot to pick up students. They are concerned about the foot traffic crossing the street and the danger that it creates.
Emails to the Front Office
If you are emailing the front office instead of calling the main number please contact us using the main email address at office@legacyk8.org to ensure a quicker response.
Lost and Found
LABEL EVERYTHING! We have clothes racks and tables that you can look through at the entrance of the building. We will return labeled items to students. We donate items periodically during the year.
Parent Portals
Legacy Academy uses two secure programs that require parents to set up passwords. Finalsite (formerly SchoolAdmin) allows parents to register and submit the needed information. Infinite Campus stores student information including grades, attendance, and assignments. Mrs. Siefers will set up your access for Infinite Campus, but you must email her at leslie.siefers@legacyk8.org.
