Hello Oak Ridge families. We hope that you are having a wonderful summer!

As the fiscal year ended on June 30th, we wanted to share the complete Treasurer report from the 2024-2025 School year. *Please note these are not final totals that have been included in our taxes, but a high level summary for our Oak Ridge families.

Oak Ridge Home & School started the fiscal year with a total balance of $29,393 in checking and savings. Our original planned budget for the 2024-2025 school year was approximately $31,000, of which we spent 91%.

In addition to annual budget items, Home & School gifted a new outdoor shed to store outdoor recess equipment and contributed to the L-Pod flooring renovation totaling over $11k.

Some of the expenses that were covered in the annual budget include the back to school bash, classroom allotments for supplies, after school recreation programs, monthly family fun nights, special magician assembly, ‘art goes to school’, classroom libraries, transportation for field trips, Sundae bar, fifth grade farewell picnic, Lip Sync, Oakie Caring Hearts programs, New student t-shirts, Reading Olympics, Author for a day visits, and scholarship for ‘Oakie alumni’ Senior. We also purchased over $1,800 in recess equipment and provided a $350 gift card to the technology room to restock supplies!

We were able to raise funds through our big Fun Run event, Prize bingo, company matches, company sponsors, Holiday shoppe, concession stands, Clothing Drive, Flea Market, Pizza Kit fundraiser, commissions from spirit wear, Box tops, Shutterfly (school photos), Graduation signs, Philadelphia Sports Shirt sales, Hersheypark ticket sales and events at Mom’s Real Italian Ice, Painting with a Twist, and Floral & Hardy. After fundraising expenses, we raised nearly $56K over the year.

Through various fundraising events, company matches, and event sponsor donations, we ended the fiscal year with a total of $52k. We have enough in the budget for our current school year and start of next year. However, the fundraising efforts are continuous to ensure we have savings and are able to support the Oak Ridge community through programs, events and much needed classroom supplies. We also have non budgeted items that we support when funds are available such as replacing the damaged recess equipment, supporting the L-pod renovation, restocking supplies in the technology room, and we know the playground black top is due for resealing soon and will need to be repainted.

Please mark your calendars for our next Prize Bingo Fundraiser on April 10, 2026. Our next large scale fundraiser is scheduled for Fall 2026. Be on the lookout for more information about various fundraisers taking place throughout the upcoming school year.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to another successful year!
