Back to School!

That's right! Tomorrow is the first day of school for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Our staff and I are so excited and fired up for the building to be buzzing with energy in less than 20 hours.

We hope you and your children are as pumped as we are. It's going to be another amazing year together.

1st Days of School

Remember that the first day of school, Tuesday, Septebmer 2 is a 1 pm DISMISSAL DAY.

Wednesday, September 3 is a FULL DAY OF SCHOOL. Students will be dismissed at 3:30 pm.

Bus Safety

For all parents of students who will be riding the bus in the morning and/or the afternoon, please be at the bus stop 10-15 minutes BEFORE your designated pick-up/drop-off time listed in the Genesis Parent Portal.

It is important to expect delays at the start of the year as our students and drivers are getting used to the new routines. Let's model patience for our children and give one another grace which will help reduce nervous feelings for our students.

Before the first day of school, please talk with your child about the School Bus Safety Guidelines linked here.

Curriculum Overview

Families of students can access an online overview of the units of study within their child's grade level. To view the content, visit the district website, click on the Academics tab, and then click on Curriculum. Select the link under Curriculum Overview entitled: Cherry Hill Curriculum - Rubicon Atlas (Curriculum Platform), and select All Curriculum in the top left corner to search for a content area.

First Two Days: Drop-Off/Arrival Procedures First Two Days: Drop-Off/Arrival Procedures

You can read the arrival procedures or watch a short video reviewing the procedures.

Morning arrival procedures for the first two days of school only. Beginning on Day 3, we will shift to our regular procedures that will continue for the rest of the school year.

For the first two days, many students may not know their classrooms or teachers yet. To help with this, all students will gather on the blacktop to the right of the buidling (if you are facing the building).

  • Bus riders will directed by staff to the blacktop.

  • Walkers will also head directly to the blacktop.

  • Parent drop-off students can be dropped off anywhere to the right of the building, before the driveway entrance to the blacktop, or after the driveway up to the crosswalk. Please do not drop off in the bus drop off area.

We’ll have plenty of staff out front to help students find their teachers and classrooms.

Again, these procedures are only for the first two days of school. Starting on Day 3, we’ll move to our regular arrival routines.

Thank you for your patience and support in helping us get the school year off to a smooth start!

Day 3 of School: Drop-Off/Arrival Procedures Day 3 of School: Drop-Off/Arrival Procedures

You can read the arrival procedures or watch a short video reviewing the procedures.

Here are our arrival procedures, beginning Day 3 and continuing for the rest of the year:

  • Bus Riders: Buses will unload on the blacktop. Students will go directly to classrooms, guided by staff.

  • Walkers: Enter through the main entrance at the front of the building and go directly to classrooms.

  • Parent Drop-Off:

    • Rule of Thumb: Only drop off students where you are in front of the school building.

    1. Use the designated drop-off zones.
    2. Do NOT drop off before the bus drop off driveway (your child should not have to walk across the driveway entrance to enter the building) or on the crosswalk.
    • Pull forward as far as possible in the drop off zone, have your child ready to exit quickly, and move on so traffic flows smoothly.

    • Please avoid stopping to chat or watching your child walk inside—this causes delays.

    • If you wish to walk your child up to the entrance, park outside of the Drop Off Zone.

Thank you for helping us keep arrival safe and efficient!

Dismissal procedures, which begin on Day 1 and will remain in place for the rest of the school year.

  • Bus riders will be called and dismissed to the blacktop, where they will board their buses.

  • Walkers and parent pick-up students have two options:

    1. Parents may park away from the front of the building. For safety, please do not park anywhere directly in front of the school—from the staff parking lot across the front grounds—as this area is busy with foot and vehicle traffic.

    2. Parents and students may also arrange a designated meeting spot, such as a side street near the parking lot or along Old Iron Master Road. Students can walk there to meet their parent.
