Dear Canyon View Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! On behalf of the faculty and staff at Canyon View High School, I welcome both new and returning families to our school community. At Canyon View, we are committed to supporting every student through our core values—Innovation, Diversity, Character, Community, and Pride—known as The Jaguar Way.

This year, we continue to implement our Academy Model, which allows students to explore career and academic interests while preparing for life after high school. Whether your student is in the Freshman Academy, Creative Arts and Media (CAM) Academy, Business, Design, and Technology (BDT) Academy, or Science, Service, and Innovation (SSI) Academy, each provides focused instruction and real-world learning opportunities.

Our campus supports collaboration and flexible learning. We offer strong academic programs, career pathways, and a wide range of co-curricular activities, and we aim to help each student find purpose and develop the skills to lead and contribute.

Please note the following important dates:

  • Monday, August 3 at 8:30 AM – First Day for Freshmen (Grade 9 Only)

  • Tuesday, August 4 at 8:30 AM – First Day for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors (2nd day for Freshmen)

CVHS Safety Procedures

Canyon View High School and the Agua Fria Union High School District are committed to providing a safe and friendly learning environment for our students, staff and community.

As a reminder, weapon detectors are placed at each entry point into the Campus- The Accelerator, The Welcome Center and Bus Drop-Off. Our school has adopted The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing, and drilling the protocol.
  • The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based on an all hazards approach as opposed to individual scenarios. Like the Incident Command System (ICS), SRP utilizes clear common language while allowing for flexibility in protocol.
  • Standard Response Protocol (English)
  • Standard Response Protocol (Spanish)
