GMS Falcon Update

Quarter 1 Report Cards will be coming home with GMS students on Thursday, 10/23.

Also coming home are NWEA Map Progress Reports for students. GMS students take this assessment in both reading and math. This is just one measure of student growth that we utilize and also this assessment provides us with valuable instructional information specific to your student. If your student was not enrolled in early fall, or they had repeated absences, they will not have a score as they did not complete the assessment.

We have confirmed the final trip meeting with K&K Tours. The final meeting will take place November 3rd. Chaperones will meet at 6:00pm in the Innovation Hub, while all others will join us at 7:00 in the Auditeria.

Any girl’s in grades 7th-HS interested in playing girl’s basketball this year, Open

Gyms are starting back up. If you have never played before, that’s OK! Just show

up and have fun. We will start each Open Gym with fundamental skill work and then

play at the end.

**THIS IS NOT MANDATORY BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU CAN BE THERE.

Your student may see a new schedule provided to them based on a change in course offerings out of our control.

Mr. Grant, the Ohio Hi-Point Into to Information Technology Teacher, has decided to pursue a position in the private sector and will no longer be with GMS/OHP. We were able to procure a long-term substitute to finish quarter 1, however we cannot utilize that opportunity moving forward due to licensure needs for those courses. We worked with Ohio Hi-Point the last 5 weeks to find a suitable candidate, but there were none at this time so the program had to be closed for the year.

The Friends of the St. Paris Public Library & Christiansburg Community Library is hosting another fundraiser to help support our libraries. You have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win this assortment of gift cards! It’s a great prize to win with holidays coming up! Please stop by the St. Paris Library to purchase tickets or feel free to reach out to me to snag your tickets.
