Update from a Ministry Partner π
Digging Has Begun on the Well in Uganda!
This week we received an update from our ministry partners at ONE30 on the progress of the well that our school raised money for in the spring. During our spring Benefit Night event, CCS was able to raise enough money to fund the digging of a well for a community in Itara, Uganda!
Here's a copy of the message from ONE30 that was posted with the update video below.
BIG things are happening at Light Academy in Itara, Uganda!
Our students are literally breaking ground on the property where their new school will be built, and One Million Wells is on-site drilling a well that will provide access to clean water!
What a beautiful picture of Godβs faithfulness and the power of partnership!
A HUGE thank you to Cullman Christian School, One Million Wells, and all of our faithful sponsors who are helping turn this vision into reality!
We are watching prayers become progress, and we couldnβt be more excited about what God is doing for these children and their future!

Feed the Need is Back! π
Hey CCS Families,
Feed the Need is BACK! I am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do this year as we work toward our goal. We would like to have every family signed up before next week. We have many incentives planned over the next few weeks to help your students get excited. I will be sharing those next week along with a link to join the Google Meet scheduled for Monday at 6PM.
The first homeroom to have everyone register including the teacher will win a popsicle party! Students that register and secure their first donation will earn a Feed the Need bracelet. If you do not find all the answers you need, please contact me. You can call the office, email candase.wilkins@cullmanchristian.com, or come by and ask at the Fall Festival.
Help us Feed the Need,
Candase Wilkins
What is Feed the Need? Why should my family participate?
Feed the Need (FTN) is a unique fundraiser that empowers CCS students to raise funds while helping others through an on campus mission experience. Instead of doing candy bar or cookie dough sales, we will gather our students together on November 24th to pack 10,000 meals and serve throughout our community. A portion of the meals will stay here in Cullman but the majority will be sent to Bangladesh. The meals are then distributed to missionaries and aid workers to use as an opportunity to share the gospel. Hear from a missionary in Bangladesh! This truly is an event where students get to be the "hands and feet" of Jesus. From PK to 12th grade everyone will have a job on serve day!
Our goal for this year is $70,000 which sounds like a lot! However, if each family raises $250 we will reach our goal in no time.
Letβs simplify it:
$250 = Ask 10 people to give $25
$250 = Ask 5 people to give $50
Fastest Way: Gain a Corporate Sponsor! It will go towards your familyβs funds raised.
Fundraising allows the school to bridge the tuition gap as well as add extra opportunities for learning and fun.
How do I get started?
Scan the QR Code or go to https://p2p.onecause.com/ccsftn-26
Click Register as a Family (If you have participated in Feed the Need before you will choose "I already have an account".)
Fill in the information listed. Decide if you want to make a donation as a family. You can make a donation at any time. We encourage you to pray about making a donation. Making a donation as a family shows others that you are invested in the mission. For example: "Our family has donated $100 to sponsor Emmalyn and Finlee's participation in an at home mission experience. Would you partner with us?"
What do I do now that I am signed up?
Talk to family and friends about sponsoring your student and supporting CCS. Contact Megan Stidham (chstidham@icloud.com) with leads for corporate sponsorships or if you want to be a part of the corporate sponsorship team. We have packets available if you wish to contact any businesses your family has a personal relationship with. Please be sure and write the student's name on the packet before turning into the office, so your family gets the credit.
Upper School Serve Day π
Learn. Grow. Serve.
Upper School Parents,
Itβs almost Thanksgiving break, so that means we are especially focused on being thankful and mindful of the many blessings that we have been given. This is a season of reflection and giving. In alignment with our school mission to EDUCATE - EQUIP - SEND, we will once again be going out into our community to serve others. For students, we want to see them LEARN - GROW - SERVE.
That being said, we are just a few weeks away from our 1st Semester Serve Day! On Tuesday, November 24th upper school students will be working with some of the local ministries around the community.
Plans are underway now for serve locations. Student leaders will be helping me choose and finalize details for our work. Stay tuned for more details soon!

Financial News
πGood news for 2027!
Alabama CHOOSE Act
The next cycle of Alabama's CHOOSE Act funding for families will be a little different for the 2027-28 school year. According to the state's plan for program implementation, Alabama families --regardless of income--- will be able to apply for the 2027-28 school year. If they timeline stays the same as the last cycle, renewal applications will likely open in December and new applications in January. We should find out more in the coming weeks!
Educational Choice for Children Act
The federal government has approved a way for families to qualify for financial help that also provides donors a way to directly contribute to their desired school. Financial help for students will be managed through an SGO (Scholarship Granting Organization). For donors, donations can be made and designated to be used specifically at the school of their choice through the Education Tax Freedom Tax Credit.
Education Freedom Tax Credit - Starting in January 2027, donors can claim a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit: up to $1,700 for individuals, or up to $3,400 for married couples filing jointly, so more children can reach the school thatβs right for them.
Learn more about how this will work in Alabama HERE.
