Parent Update 2025
Watertown High School
Parent Update 10.10.25
Thank you for your continued support of our schools and students. Together, we honor our tradition of excellence while embracing the innovation and transformation needed to prepare learners for the future. A community-wide survey will be mailed to all households by the end of October to gather your feedback regarding a possible WUSD operational referendum in April 2026. Please complete the survey by November 17, 2025—your voice matters!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Monday, October 20 (4:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
WHS will be hosting in person Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 20 from 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm in WHS classrooms. Parents can register for Parent Teacher Conferences via Skyward Family Access starting on Monday, October 13 until Sunday, October 19 at 11:59 p.m.
With that in mind, families are welcome to call or email WHS teachers at any time. If parents or guardians would like to have a face to face meeting with teachers, but can't attend conferences, be sure to schedule an appointment with the teacher in advance. Teacher contact information can be found on the WHS website staff directory.
If you have any questions, please contact the WHS Student Services Office or Administration at any time. We look forward to partnering with families to ensure all of our students find success at WHS!
FAFSA Completion Event
Associate Principal Reminders
Now that Homecoming Week has wrapped up, we’re returning to our regular expectations — including our no hat and no hood policy in the building. Most of our students are doing a great job following this rule.
Thank you for your support in keeping a positive learning environment!
Hayes' Happenings
Chad Hayes - Dean of Students
For high school students, consistent attendance is more important than ever. Each day missed can lead to falling behind in coursework, missing critical classroom discussions, and struggling to stay on track for graduation. Over time, chronic absenteeism can affect a student's academic performance, college and career readiness, and even their ability to build strong study habits and time management skills. Research shows that students who miss too much school are less likely to graduate on time and more likely to face limited opportunities after high school. As parents and guardians, your support in promoting regular attendance plays a key role in your teen's long-term success.

Goslings Thriving at WHS
WHS held its AVID Family Night this week ahead of College & Career Planning Night. Parents and students had the opportunity to explore various career pathways and gain valuable insights to help prepare for future academic and career planning
The event served as an engaging and informative kickoff to the planning process.
Last week, Gus was hiding in the library during homecoming week. Students had fun finding him every day :)
Staff Spotlight: Claudia Acosta
Please welcome Claudia Acosta to Watertown High School! Ms. Acosta earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where she was actively involved in the American String Teachers Association and the Jazz Education Network.
