2nd Grade Weekly Update
Week of April April 27th-May1st
A Note From Your Teacher
Can you believe there are only 4 more weeks of school?! Time is flying by. Please help encourage your student to finish strong and maintain behaviors as our excitement towards summer grows. We are still learning new content and finishing up I-ready testing. Stamina and focus will help get us to the end.
We released our butterflies and it was so much fun watching them flutter away.
A few reminders, 2nd grade will be taking a field trip! It will be at Fort Worth's Log Cabin Village on May 14th. Notes have been sent home as a reminder to turn in money and forms by May 6th.
As summer birthdays approach and birthday invitations start going out more, please remember our invitation policy. Invitations can be passed out to all of the classmates or just the boys/girls. They are free to give invites out to students in other classes before or after school.
Tuesday April 28th is our last STAAR day is CLOSED campus to visitors /lunch visitors.
Thank you for all your support. We appreciate it!

Recognize Someone!
Dr. Rapp, LISD Superintendent, kicked off a fantastic program called, "Recognize Someone!" This gives YOU an opportunity to recognize someone who works for LISD and is doing an excellent job. You can recognize any staff member from the cafeteria to the office to your child's teacher. All you have to do is scan the QR code and fill out the short form with a small write-up about why you think they deserve to be recognized. You can also get to the form by going to LISD.net/recognize. Thank you for taking the time to celebrate the fantastic people working with your child.
