Character Education Word of the Week: Caring
This week, our character education focus is Caring. Caring students understand that their words, actions, and choices can have a positive impact on those around them. Whether they are helping a classmate, including someone who feels left out, speaking up about a safety concern, or simply showing kindness, our Bulldogs have opportunities to demonstrate care every day. A caring school is a safer, stronger school, and these everyday actions are an important part of developing leadership in our students. By looking out for one another, we continue Building Outstanding Leaders Daily and making Bass Middle School a place where every Bulldog can belong, learn, and succeed.

BTG 2026 Christmas in Coweta Program
This program is centered around helping Coweta County families, due to circumstances, provide Christmas gifts to their children 18 and younger. Families can apply starting 10/1/2026.
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies is a non-profit organization that provides a little extra food on the weekend for students in Coweta County. Backpack Buddies supplies students with nutritious, self-serve food that will sustain them when school meals are not available. Four times a year, when students are out for longer school breaks, Backpack Buddies sends home a larger bag of food to help them during that extended break from school.
The Backpack Buddies program is essential to help relieve hunger, which in turn will improve grades, health, school attendance and self-esteem in these children. If you are interested in signing your student up for the Backpack Buddies program, fill out the attached form and sign giving Backpack Buddies permission to send food home every Friday with your student.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
From September 15–October 15, Blake Bass will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing the rich cultures, histories, achievements, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Students will have the opportunity to learn more through special activities and our weekly Hispanic Heritage Month Google Slides.
Students can also participate in an optional weekly quiz for a chance to earn a special lunch perk! Students who answer the quiz correctly will be entered into a drawing for the opportunity to sit at the high-top tables with their friends during lunch. We look forward to a month of learning, celebrating, and having fun together!

Counseling Department Wishlist
Our counseling team is always looking for ways to better support our students! We’ve created an Amazon Wishlist with items for our Hygiene Station, Small Groups, and Incentives. If you’d like to support, we’d be so grateful! Every item makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your continued support- it means the world to us and to our students.

Transportation Change Requests
Please use the form below to request a transportation change for your student. Only make a request if your child is not aware of the change. All requests MUST be made by 3:00 pm on the date requested. We ask that you limit transportation changes to emergency situations only. All students should know how they are getting home each day before they arrive to school.
Please keep changes to emergency situations only.
Cell Phones/Electronic Devices
Cell Phones/Electronic Devices
Cell phones and smart watches may not be used during the instructional day and must be on silent and put away in student's backpacks at all times. Backpacks will be placed in lockers each morning until the end of the day. Students are permitted to use the designated student phone located in the office during school hours for emergencies or for illness. Students should not use a cell phone or smartwatch to call home or text when sick. Any student who is ill should go through the Bass clinic. The school nurse will call parents directly. Calling home for homework, a school project, or to make arrangements to attend an after school event that wasn't previously arranged is not permitted.
We appreciate your support of this policy so we can minimize interruptions to learning and ensure that all students feel safe and free of distractions.
