Deer RunNewsletterFriday, November 7, 2025

Deer Run Families,

This week, our fourth- and fifth-grade students participated in our Veteran’s Day Assembly. Thank you to our PTO for helping support this meaningful event for our students and community.

We also want to celebrate reaching and surpassing our Socktober goal! Together, we collected 528 pairs of socks, exceeding our target of 500. Thank you for your incredible generosity and for helping us support families in need.

As a reminder, our entire school will be traveling to Jerome High School on Tuesday, November 25 to attend a play. We will depart Deer Run at 12:00 PM. Permission forms have been sent home with students. Please ensure that forms are returned to school as soon as possible so all students are cleared to attend.

Thank you for your continued support!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Book Fair

Students previewed the fair and made wish lists this week. The wish lists are a “just a guideline” for families and no one is obligated to purchase anything at the book fair. These same books can be found at the library or bookstore!

Students will be able to make purchases the week of November 10th-14th when they visit the library. Click here for each class’s purchase day. We accept cash, checks written to Dublin Library Association (DLA), credit card, and eWallet. Sales tax of 8% will be collected.

Check out our Book Fair website for more information, including an interactive flier, eWallet set-up, and an online store.

Thank you for your support!

Dismissal Changes

In the event of an emergency and the need to change a student's dismissal method be sure to send an email to the classroom teacher AND the attendance email (Dres_attendance@dublinschools.net). Teachers are extremely busy during the school day, therefore, it is not guaranteed that the teacher would have time to review the parent email prior to dismissal. Be sure to submit changes as early as possible to increase the likelihood that the communication will be received by our school team prior to dismissal.

Student Car Drop Off and Pick Up

As a reminder, car drop off and pick up for all students should take place at the back door of the school. Last school year, students were being dropped off at Grizzell, in the school parking lot, and in the neighborhood adjacent to the school. We want to ensure that all of our students are safely dropped off at school, therefore only the backdoor area should be used. Also, we also want to be considerate of our neighbors that live in the homes adjacent to the school. Therefore, adhering to this guidelines is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
