“Let all that you do be done in love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:14
Dear Saint Ambrose Parents,
Thanks to all who joined us for conferences last night, and we look forward to more conferences next Tuesday. We are grateful for your partnership! Our bookfair is open for business-we appreciate all of the volunteers who are helping, and especially thank Rosanna Bamsey for chairing 2 bookfairs this year. See below for details on shopping hours and volunteer needs.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid Applications are due March 16th. Our Financial Aid Committee will consider all applications and make recommendations to us regarding the distribution of our financial aid dollars. We will make every effort to work with families so Saint Ambrose School is open to all. However, our assistance funds are limited, and we may not have funds available for those who do not apply by the deadline. Applications can be submitted online at www.tads.com. When you apply, mark the “Aim Higher Scholarship” and the “CSAF Scholarship” as those are two opportunities for our school to receive funding to support families in need.
As we celebrate I Love to Read Month, we are excited to invite our students to “Pop Into a Good Book!” To make this celebration extra special and memorable, we hope to provide popcorn for our students as a fun way to encourage reading and build excitement about books. Each class would select a time to enjoy the snack together during February. If you are able to support this celebration by donating popcorn we would be so grateful. Sign up here!
February is Heart Month, a special time to celebrate heart warriors, remember heart angels, and raise awareness about heart health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and congenital heart disease affects 1 in 100 babies, making it the most common birth defect. To help show our support and raise awareness, we will be wearing red on February 12th. Bring $1 to school that day to participate. All money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association to help support research, education, and care for people with heart disease.
Thank you for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a difference and help save lives.
Recess Help
If you love the cold and enjoy children, we need recess help. Let us know if you are interested.
CDH is offering some different summer camp opportunities and it is open to our students. - Cretin-Derham Hall Summer Camp Opportunities.
Dear God, give us the power to be gentle;
the strength to be forgiving;
the patience to be understanding;
and the endurance to accept the consequences
of holding on to what we believe to be right.
May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil
and the power of love to overcome hatred.
We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe
in a world emancipated from violence,
a new world where fear shall no longer lead men or women to commit injustice,
nor selfishness make them bring suffering to others.
Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy
to the task of making peace,
praying always for the inspiration and the power
to fulfill the destiny for which we were created.

Dear Families,
We are excited to welcome our Ignatius Book Fair this week and next! We look forward to welcoming students and families to celebrate reading and faith-filled books together.
The Book Fair will be open during the following times this weekend:
Saturday: 4:00–6:30 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM–1:30 PM
Please note that while we do our best to stock a wide variety of titles, the on-site inventory may not last for the entire duration of the Book Fair. If a book your child is hoping for is no longer available, parents are welcome to shop online during the Book Fair. Online purchases still support our school and earn the same benefits as in-person shopping, and all online orders will be shipped directly to the school free of charge. If a book is ordered online, children will not be able to take it home the same day, but it should arrive and be sent home soon after. Next week during the school shopping hours our volunteers can help your child make an online purchase if their book of choice is no longer in stock on site.
Thank you for your continued support of reading and our school community—we can’t wait to celebrate books with your children!

Mysteries of the Rosary — Lenten Series
This Lent, Saint Ambrose Catholic Community is invited to deepen their faith through our Mysteries of the Rosary series, a weekly experience of prayer, Scripture, and reflection centered on the Sorrowful Mysteries of Jesus’ life. Each evening includes engaging film segments, guided insights, and prayer to help bring the Rosary to life and draw individuals more deeply into Christ’s love and mercy.
The series runs Tuesday evenings from 6:30–8:00 pm during Lent and is perfect for anyone who wants to grow in understanding and appreciation of the Rosary — whether you’re just getting started or have prayed it for years.

I Love to Read Month - February
February is I Love to Read Month, a time to celebrate the joy, imagination, and learning that reading brings into our classrooms and homes. Throughout the month, students are encouraged to explore new books, revisit favorite stories, and build strong reading habits. By making time for reading and sharing our love of books, we help students grow not only as readers, but as thinkers and lifelong learners. Click here for more info!
Saint Ambrose Way and Faith Virtue: Embracing the Virtue of Patience
Saint Ambrose Way and Faith Virtue: Embracing the Virtue of Patience
As we enter the month of February, we are excited to introduce a special focus on the virtue of patience. We recognize that patience helps us slow down, show kindness, and respond with calm when things do not go our way. We all make mistakes, and patience allows us to give ourselves and others the time and grace needed to learn and grow. We acknowledge that we are all sinners, and God shows great patience with us—loving and forgiving us again and again when we are truly sorry.. Through the practice of patience, we learn to pause before reacting, to listen carefully, and to respond with understanding and compassion. We strive to practice the virtue of patience while also demonstrating the St. Ambrose Way of being accountable. We want to own our actions and always be truthful. We aspire to be humble—by not bragging when we win and by responding calmly when we lose. When we practice patience and accountability, we are better able to hear and see God in those around us.
Let’s work together to make February a month filled with calm hearts, thoughtful choices, and grace for one another. Patience is powerful—and it is healing. Wishing you and your family a month filled with patience, accountability, and peace.
