What an exciting October we had! It was great having grandparents back in the building for lunch and the Book Fair. Our Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you to our amazing PTA for setting everything up and running our Book Fair. We couldn't do this without you! We have another exciting month of fun activities.

• We will have our October/November PBIS rewards this Friday! Our PBIS Clubs reward students for showing their PRIDE Expectations throughout the whole month.
• Our Character Education focus word of the month is GENEROSITY.
• No school Monday and Tuesday, we look forward to welcoming our kids back on Wednesday!
• Make-Up Fall Picture Day is November 15.
• K-2 After School Dance will be on November 15, 3-5 After School Dance will be on November 16. More information coming soon!
• November Snack Cart is November 18.
• Thanksgiving Break is November 23-25.

What are Freedom's expectations for behavior?

We expect all of our students to show their PRIDE daily! PRIDE is our positive behavior intervention and support expectations that we use to encourage the following:

P Positive Attitude

R Respect for All

I Integrity

D Do the Right Thing

E Effort Towards Learning

Be sure to ask your child how they have demonstrated their PRIDE while at school!

Classroom guidance lessons will start up this month and I am so excited to get into classrooms with your students! Teachers will be helping me form small group counseling sessions. Small groups are a great time for students to practice skills, have fun, and grow in their social emotional skills.

If students miss for a doctors appointment please get a doctors note and bring that note back to school when the student returns. All students have 6 parent notes a year. If you have any questions, please reach out to Lori Marion lori.marion@bullitt.kyschools.us

Absences: In the event your child is absence please be sure to send your child with a parent or doctor note stating the first and last name of the child(ren), date(s) absent, reason for the absence, and parent or doctor signature. Notes must be turned in within 5 days of the student's return.

We will be sending home pre orders for the yearbook soon. Be watching for them. They will be slightly discounted to pre-order.

Parents can send life outside of school pictures to Lisa Goodin for the yearbook.

If parents or grandparents took pics at the grandparents luncheon or bookfair, they can email them to me. I will try to use some of them in the yearbook. My email is lisa.goodin@bullitt.kyschools.us

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. If your family needs a Thanksgiving basket, get with Mrs. Bishop. One of our local churches is providing baskets for families. Reach her at 869-3612 or sherri.bishop@bullitt.kyschools.us. You may also sign up on our Google Form for a Thanksgiving basket.

We can’t wait to have our first dances of the year!
