East Weekly
December 14, 2025
Happy Sunday, families!
We have just one week to go before Winter Break, and I can’t believe how quickly December has flown by! I apologize for not sending the newsletter on Friday—it was a crazy week both at school and at home with all of the holiday concerts and events for East and for my own children. Thank you for your understanding!
This week wraps up with some exciting events, including the Protos Olympics on Friday and our House Quarter Celebration. As we head into this final stretch, we appreciate your help reminding students to stay on their best behavior. We are definitely starting to feel a little squirrely, and last week brought quite a few office visits. Teachers are working hard to wrap up the quarter and prepare for the new year, and we need students in class, focused, and giving their best effort to finish strong.
Lastly, if your family is in need of meals, snacks, or additional support over Winter Break, please use the support link below so we can send items home this week.
Have a wonderful Sunday, and thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. 💙
Take care,
Megan Kirsten

Community Connections
We’re always looking for ways to connect classroom learning to the real world or allow students to explore the future—and we’d love your help! If you're open to sharing your job title and a brief description of what you do, we’d love to learn more. We’re gathering a list of parents and guardians who might be interested in speaking to students about their careers, allowing students to shadow for a day, or participating in a future career fair.
If this sounds like something you'd consider, please take a moment to fill out this quick google form. Thank you for helping our students dream big!
