Weekly Family Communication
Principal's Message
Dear Holy Rosary Families,
We are wrapping up an exciting Catholic Schools Week! We've had such a fun time celebrating our school and are looking forward to our exciting assembly and staff versus students volleyball match tomorrow!
Tomorrow night, the Fulcrum Foundation will hold its annual fundraising gala, the Celebration of Light. The Fulcrum Foundation supports Catholic schools through grants and tuition assistance, and our school benefits from this generosity each year. Fulcrum also supported our school with a grant during our fire alarm upgrade in my second year here, and they were a major sponsor of our endowment fundraiser just last week.
You can learn more here, and we invite you to consider supporting this important cause that makes such a meaningful difference for our students and school community.
As we wrap up this CSW, we give thanks for our tremendous school families. We are grateful for each of you!
In Christ,
Anna
Faith At Home
Being a Catholic family isn’t about adding more—it’s about doing ordinary things with extraordinary love.
Here are just a few ideas on how to do that.
🙏 1. Start or End the Day with 2 Minutes of Prayer
Morning: “Jesus, help us love each other well today.”
Night: One thing you’re grateful for, one person you pray for
Keep it short. Consistency matters more than length.
📖 2. Bring Sunday into the Week
At one meal, ask:
“What was one thing you remember from Mass?”
No teaching—just conversation.
❤️ 3. Practice One Intentional Act of Love Each Day
Choose one:
Be patient when it’s hard
Listen without interrupting
Forgive quickly
Do a chore for someone else quietly
Call it: “Today’s secret act of love.”
📿 4. Pray for Others When You Hear News
When something hard comes up:
“Let’s say a quick prayer for them.”
This teaches kids to respond with compassion first.
😊 5. Speak Blessings Over Your Children
Before school or bed:
“God made you good. I’m so thankful for you.”
This mirrors how God speaks to us.
🌿Small acts of love at home become powerful ways of living our faith.

Inclement Weather Information
This week's big storm is a reminder that we can sometimes have weather that will necessitate closing school or starting late. In case of a need to close school or have a late start due to the weather, we will notify families as early as possible. Keep an eye on the West Seattle Blog, Facebook, and on our website. We will also send an email to all families notifying you of any closures or late starts. If we start late, there will be no AM BASE, and if we close due to snow, there will be no BASE care on campus during the closure.
