November 2025 Parent Newsletter
October was FULL of FLIGHT!
October was an incredible month at Irons Junior High! Our Hawks wrapped up a strong volleyball and football season, showcasing teamwork, grit, and school spirit on and off the field. Our 7th Grade A Football team went undefeated and were named district champs! Our band and orchestra students also filled the air with beautiful music during their Fall Concerts, reminding us just how talented our Hawks are!
We united as a campus during our Pink Out Pep Rally, raising nearly $700 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month—way to go, Hawks! Our 8th grade students also showed focus and determination during PSAT testing (results coming soon!), and we celebrated some very important members of our Hawk family during School Bus Safety Week and our First Responders Day. We closed out the month with Red Ribbon Week, reinforcing the importance of making healthy, positive choices.
Our Hawks continue to lead with heart, serve with pride, and soar with purpose—and we couldn’t be prouder!
Here are a few quick reminders to keep everything running smoothly:

A Message from Your Irons Counselors ❤️
Dear Irons Hawk Families,
As we wrap up October and head into the colder months, we want to take a moment to reach out with care and encouragement. Your counseling team, Mrs. Carpenter, Mrs. Thetford, and Mr. Hardy, are here to support every student and family at Irons.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to watch this important video together with your student about the dangers of fentanyl and the protective factors that can help keep our students safe. Remember, if you see something, say something. Together, we can make a difference and protect one another.
As the days grow shorter and the weather turns cooler, it’s also important to take care of your mental and emotional well-being. The winter months can be challenging for some, so please take time to rest, connect, and check in on your friends and loved ones. Small acts of kindness and care can have a big impact.
We’ve included some helpful Mental Health Tips for Students this month to remind everyone that it’s okay to take a break, ask for help, and prioritize self-care.
Take care of yourselves, Hawks, and remember, your counselors are always here to help.
Warmly,
Mrs. Carpenter, Mrs. Thetford, and Mr. Hardy
