Summer Fun!

I hope that each of you have been enjoy this hot summer with family and friends. Before you know it, August will be here.

Please help me put together a back to school summer time presentation by emailing me a photo of a special event you attended or a special place you visited this summer. I will put together a slide show to share with the staff of how our summer was spent.

• Monday, July 18th - Assistant Principals and Counselors

- High School Assistant Principal - hope to be hired by the end of the week of July 11th

- High School At-Risk Counselor - still seeking to be filled

• Monday, July 25th - Nurse and Secretaries
• Monday, August 1st - New teachers (to include those new to KISD)
• Tuesday, August 2nd - All teachers and teachers' aide (paraprofessionals)

Be on the look out for additional information pertaining to when you can come to the school to pick up our keys, swipe card and new identification card for the 2022 - 2023 School Year.

Still in search for employment for the following positions (three teachers):

- English teacher (currently have a few interviews scheduled for Monday, July 11th)

-Science teacher

-Art teacher (interview scheduled for Monday, July 11th)

Update: All high school teacher aide positions have now been filled!

Week 1: August 1 - 5, 2022

August 1 - New teachers to KISD Induction (Killeen Civic Center)

August 2 - All teachers return (PD on campus)

August 3 - PD on Campus

August 4 - MS Teachers' Job-Alike Day - PD on Campus (for all other staff members)

August 5 - HS Teachers' Job-Alike Day - PD on Campus (for all other staff members)

Week 2: August 8 - 12, 2022

August 8 - Edgenuity PD with Pathway's Staff at Pathways (all day training)

August 9 - PD on Campus

August 10 - PD on Campus

August 11 - NCI (Non-Crisis Intervention Training)

August 12 - Workday

A more detailed schedule will be shared after the Principal and Assistant Principal Academy, which will be the week of July 18th.
