Principal Message Principal Message

This week students had the opportunity visit the newly renovated Grand Trunk School and meet their future classmates when we amalgamate next year. There was also a open house for parents on on Thursday evening.

On Wednesday we also had pancake breakfast organized by cooked by our School Council. This is one of many they have put on for us.

Friday marked the last day of Mrs. Chechotko's time as a student teacher with us. In two rotations this year she has worked with our k/1, 2/3, and grade 4 classes. We thank her for all she has done for our students and wish her the best of luck.

This Saturday is the grade 4-6 mini basketball tournament at GT school. There is as schedule below.

We also tried out our new popcorn machine for the first time this week see some silly pictures of our staff and students.

Next week we have a Fruit Salad Lunch provide by School Council on Tuesday the 21st. We will also have a School Council Meeting after school on the same day.

Friday the 24th is a PD day.

Coming up on April 29th is our annual Spring Tea at 1pm.

This deadline also applies to returning students who require bus transportation for the 2026-27 school year. A snapcode is not required to complete the School Bus Registration.

Community Contribution

As you all know this will be the last year of Wildwood School. As part of that I have been sharing bits of our schools history. If you have bits of history or artifacts that you would like to share please email or call Mr. Stoyles so we can share parts of the school's past as we get ready for a new future in September.

As always feel free to reach out regarding any questions or concerns by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.

Sincerely,

Wildwood School: Ceiling Tiles Wildwood School: Ceiling Tiles

A long standing tradition of Wildwood School has been our ceiling tiles. Students before leaving the school get a tile to paint and leave as part of the school. Over the years our halls have been filled with many paintings of from past students. This year when we close, those tiles can be returned to their original artists or families. See a few examples below.

FOPLS FOPLS

Our students from Evansview, Wildwood, and Grand Trunk High School are coming together under one roof — and we want to make sure they have a playground that brings them together too!

The Friends of Pembina Learning Society (FOPLS) is running a raffle fundraiser to help create a fun, safe, and engaging space where kids can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.

Your support will help make this playground a place our children are proud to call their own!
