Checking in with Cooper!

He has been busy getting to know more kids in the elementary school. Cooper has been to Mrs. McGuire, Mrs. Grimm, Mrs. Doyle, Ms. Beinborn, and Ms. Singer’s classrooms. "We have answered some very thought provoking questions regarding therapy dogs. More visits are currently being planned. Cooper loves being around these caring kids," said Mrs. Gorgen.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Please send proper outside play attire to school with your child EVERYDAY. We ask that each child come with boots, hat, gloves/mittens, a warm coat and snow pants. Even without snow, boots are a MUST. The playground and blacktop area can get very wet and muddy and wearing boots will prevent mud from getting tracked into the classrooms.

Don't forget to send shoes to change into once inside and label all items with your child's name or initials.

If your child does not come with boots they will only be allowed to play on the sidewalk area.

If providing these items for your child is a hardship for your family, please contact the office. We want to be sure everyone is warm this winter:)

Join us for the Turkey Trot!

- 1 or 2 mile run/walk

- $5 adults/$2 students

- All money raised will go towards Fuel Up to Play 60 Leadership Team. FUTP60 team provides exercise programs and assists with healthy snacks for elementary school students.

- Registration starts 7:40 a.m. in the elementary gym

- Race begins at 8:10 a.m. outside the gym

The word of the month for November is "gratitude". Students will be introduced to the concept of gratitude through guidance lessons. Teachers will be reinforcing a gratitude mindset by housing "gratitude jars" where students can write down something that they are grateful for, and these notes will later be shared with the class.
