Family Literacy
Family literacy is the foundation for a child’s lifelong love of learning, and it begins right at home. When parents and children read, talk, and share stories together, they build strong language skills, curiosity, and emotional bonds that no screen can replace. The simple act of reading on a parent’s lap fosters connection, imagination, and confidence in ways technology can’t replicate. In today’s digital age, it’s important to remember that there’s no app like your lap—because the most powerful learning tool a child will ever have is the love, time, and attention of family.

Beyond The Classroom
We are proud to recognize our very own ESL Teacher Mari Smith- Negron, whose artwork is currently on display at the library. Mari’s creative spirit extends beyond the classroom, where she inspires both students and colleagues alike. Her exhibit showcases not only her artistic talent but also her dedication to lifelong learning and expression. Be sure to stop by the library to view her beautiful work and join us in celebrating her achievement!
2026 EHACE College and Career Fair
College and career fairs are vital events that serve as a crucial bridge between students and their post-graduation future. By gathering representatives from diverse colleges, technical schools, and companies in one place, these fairs offer unparalleled opportunities for exploration, networking, and personal development. They allow students to engage directly with professionals, ask in-depth questions that aren't easily answered online, and gain firsthand insight into different campus cultures, industries, and job opportunities. This direct interaction can help clarify and solidify a student's academic and career aspirations, or even reveal exciting new pathways they hadn't previously considered.
Thanks to Dr. Al Omari for spearheading this event, along with the participating schools, vendors, and EHACE staff.
